Mankind's Greatest Achievements: The Wheel, Electricity, the Light Bulb, Sliced Bread, The Internet, the DVR, and Stephen Stills getting Eric AND Jimi to appear on his first solo album.
Thanks for posting this, it's very special. I was a 16-year old dishwasher and my first 2 concerts were: 7/22/75 Stephen Stills at the San Diego Sports Arena 8/14/75 Eric at the LA Forum with Santana, Joe Cocker and Keith Moon Until this video, I'd never seen them perform together on stage.@@1bionicleking
These recording from the audience are nice historical moments but the sound sucks regrettably. Steven’s voice may not be what it used to be but he’s present and accounted for. That counts for me.
No kidding. But they are good tidbits from the show for those who were there. I am not a professional videographer or sound engineer. For better sound and visuals listen to albums
As a charming, but hurting Loretta Lynn wisely advised an audience requester for an old classic: "That was 40 years ago- go home and listen to the record"!
Thank you for posting this. This is one of the best parts of the festival. This song was recorded the year I was born. 52 yrs later 20000 people are on their feet singing along. Doubt Taylor Swift will get people on their feet in her 80s.
Exactly. This was likely completely unrehearsed. At most 1-2 practice runs. Yes, this would have been better back in the day, but that is not the point. These are two legends on stage at the same time playing a classic song. Just loved it. It was so amazing to see Stills and Clapton on the stage together. The highlight of the show.

Clapton starts every solo these days up around the 15th fret with a full tone bend and release followed by all the usual clichéd pentatonic licks he's been churning out since the Cream days.
Coming from a nobody, taken with a grain of salt. The man accomplished more in a fraction of a second of his life, then you and everyone one you know has to this day. The most revered, influential and imitated guitarist of his generation, but not up to your standards! LMAO
