Clapton is such a fascinating artist for so many reasons. I heard a recording of White Room performed in 2022 and it seemed a bit sluggish. I thought, "well, Eric is getting old." But here we are two years later and he's playing it up tempo and with a fiery guitar solo! I guess some inconsistency is just a part of the game, but it's great to see he still has to fire.
I'm so glad I saw him in Newcastle. The three songs I loved the most have slowly been dropped from his setlist as the tour has gone on. Presence of the Lord, White Room and Sunshine of your Love.
@@jrjr227 You're right, the big difference in playing the guitar is in the "sensitivity" and Eric's touch is magical: much less aggressive than that of Jimi, Jeff, Ritchie, Jimmy, Tony, Eddie, Angus, Slash, Joe, Steve, Yngwie , etc... CLAPTON IS GOD!

I didn't know he was on! I was in the hotel opposite the venue. We sat and watched thousands of people streaming towards the arena. There was a 'busker' drumming along with the procession... He sounds to have been on good form.
Can't belief...! His music is sooo boring and Mr. Clapton got so much hate and dissapointed stuff on his shoulders & he's so arrogant, like his music is boring...! Few days ago, saw him playin with a palaestine painted guitar. Left tha gig, 'cause I didn't pay for a political competition! I could better listening to 7pm news for free, if I'll wanna get some political gossip. And his music is so boring, never understand why "they" call him GOD...! Rediculess!
Yes, I was so disappointed. Was hoping that he would either open with Layla and end with Wonderful tonight. My first ever show with him. However the night was easily made up with the fantastic performances by the band.

this is a great performance don't get me wrong, but I don't think a vast majority of people really appreciate Sheriff for what it is. it's erics true vehicle for soloing and expression, I hope he adds it for the RAH shows.
