Nice work on the solo. That was the first guitar song I tried to learn (Old Love) - about 30 years ago, lol. I can play it today, but back then, it was like scaling Mt Everest :)
Thank youuuuuuu!! It's really cool to read that someone tried to learn this solo too...we share the same story ;) ...and we all know how high Mt Everest is :) :) :) Congrats if you now can play it :)
Thank you very very much !!! Well...playing "Old love" took me several years...I think I began to play it in the late 90's...no feeling at that time...I let it down many years...of course I played it a little bit during those years, not seriously...from time to time...and finally in 2013 it became a little more "natural". Don't loose patience, believe me, if you attempted 3 times, you're on the right way !!! While learning this solo, I cut it in very small parts, played the easiest parts many times until my fingers played them mostly by themselves ;) And then, I just pasted all the bricks together, played bigger parts and so on... It took time of course...but I really, really, wanted to play this solo once in my lifetime... Now I play it sometimes and have always to work on it to sound alright... I'd like to play it again now, in 2018 or 2019 and post the new video on youtube...just to check if I'm still able to play it good ;) Stay tuned ;)
Is that a Cort? NTL-20? I have one just like it if it is. I've had it 15 years and she's still one of my favorites. Logged MANY hours on that guitar. Great job on the solo!
super mec j avais essayer il y a quelques temps.... Et j'ai capitulé... Alors respect mec super étant un grand fan de M. Clapton j'ai fait le cover old love electrique encore bravo à toi
Thank you...and no: I learned the solo using tablatures I bought in 1994 (a long, looooooong time ago :-) ) After the solo, it's just instant improvisation, so no tabs... :-)
