Nick Gray Sr. how is it about keeping it real when his anger is misplaced he's mad at Randy, mad at owners, mad at players ( who lobbied for him to get in).
Terrell deserved a better Process. He is the 2nd or 3rd greatest Receiver ever and he waited 3 years because Writers attempted to Teach a Grown Man a lesson. Waiting with those numbers makes us all question the integrity of the Induction process.
2nd or 3rd receiver statistically BUT as a champion , team leader , making those around him better - he does not get in as a 1st ballot ! ( as an overall player ) I’m ok with T.O doing what he wants - he will actually get more attention / remembered for the way he is. But def not a first ballot. To be first ballot it’s not just skill -you have to act like Brady , Jeter , Jordan - not the way he did. Just drama drama drama beef beef beef !
Brynny211 What about Randy Moss? He's a first ballot guy. Failed drug tests, allegedly Quit on the Oakland Raiders. Was far from the "champion , team leader , making those around him better" type of guy. I love Randy but if he's 1st ballot, TO should definitely be first ballot. It's a pretty clear bias...
Timo & Brynny I grew up watching TO and Moss, and I say Moss is the best receiver of all time. I get Rice's stats, durability, work ethic, never taking a play off, blah blah blah. But Moss had more ability on the field than Rice did. And I'd draft Moss over Rice any day of the week. And with all that being said, Moss deserved his first ballot. Anywho, TO should have been first ballot too. You don't get TO without getting all of TO. Without his temperamental attitude, you don't get his defense-changing ability on the field. TO was the one on the field. TO was the one catching the ball. TO was the one taking the hits. He can celebrate his induction however he wants to
Brynny211 This sounds Ridiculous. Champion and Team Leader are under the Team Attributes/Category. You're argument makes little sense when it comes to HOF candidacy. This is not the P.C. HOF. The bylaws clearly stated that nothing off the field should be considered except for criminal conduct.(Paraphrasing) You are talking what you feel and not Facts. 2014-2015 is when locker room issues were included. Yes...other factors could be considered for "Fringe" HOF players but not Undeniable ones. This is not Debatable. Sorry.
First off, the HOF ONLY made Moss a first-ballot HOFer to stick it to T.O. Moss had as much baggage and was as much of a diva as T.O. This was transparent on their part--not making Moss wait. I absolutely KNEW T.O. would stick it right back to them by refusing to attend. Kudos to him.
Facts they are crazy TO should've been 1ballot point blank period nfl needs the players coach's and gms to vote those writers have no place to talk about who goes to the HOF they never played the game if they did play never on that level
You're damn right! Replace ALL the writers immediately with PLAYERS still alive that are in the HOF. Who better to know what is deemed deserving to such an honor than your peers...
He didn't refuse an Oscar, he was shedding light on the way Navite Americans were depicted, disrespected and treated by Hollywood. He stood on a moral high ground to shed light on the hypocrisy and sent a Native American woman on his behalf to accept it. He didn't throw a self pity egomaniacal fit because he wasn't nominated the year before. Terrible comparison!
Moss hits a cop with his car over a parking ticket and was a problem off the field gave up in Oakland he gets in 1st attempt. T.O. never get in any trouble off the field but is a show boat he has to wait.... SMH
It's exactly what he wants. If that's how he feels, I can't see why they should put him in. Treat him like Rose, who WANTS to be in the baseball hall, but never will be.
Considering how the process works, it's a little silly of him to skip the ceremony. The writers messed him up, not the actual HOF. And I'm sure he also doesn't want to share the stage with another WR that's a first ballot.
depannist that’s true I can agree with that sir .. call me crazy bt I just don’t have a problem with it. Is he a little sensitive... yes bt I don’t really begrudge him for this it’s his choice
Eric Dickerson is an amazing TV presence and his commentary is awesomely genuine. I know most sports fan respect his opinion because during his career he experienced a few levels of discord with organizations and seemed to speak freely then about the business of not being paid fairly for his talent. TV executives this is the guy you might want to promote for your show.
I had the joy of watching TO play and I noticed something over the course of his career. He was a great player that wanted to win. BUT he wanted to be the reason why his team won and if they lost, it was because they didn’t give him the ball enough. There was always someone to blame for why said this or did that and never owning up to your mistakes and taking responsibility is what TO couldn’t accept. His actions and attitude is why he was let go off of 3 Super Bowl contending teams. That speaks volumes and ultimately that’s why he wasn’t a hall of famer first round go. Should of he be a first ballot? His numbers say they do. But he shot himself in the foot too many times for the writers to overlook. It’s actually petty for TO to be upset but Eric is right one day TO will regret not being in that stage. Some people grow up but don’t mature internally
ED: I would want TO on my team! Skip: No you would not want him on your team! The clip started with ED saying he and TO are friends and talk regularly but skip is going to tell a almost 60 year old man what he should and shouldn't want when he stated his opinion already!! Skip really think his assumed opinion holds more weight than a grow ln mans personal opinion!! This dude!!
Chiggsy I 1000% agree however if a man give his opinion who is Skip to tell him he is wrong? Thats his opinion he maybe the type of person that puts hard work over big mouth, people forget every time TO went to they got better and every team he left got worse.
People might have forgotten, but not this one. Remember when he came back from that broken leg in Philly, and somehow got open in the superbowl and McNabb would not throw him the ball? He made the HoF right there, coming back from that busted leg was incredible. GETTING OPEN? That's what football is all about. I'm with Skip on the working with issue, but I am 100% with TO on the HoF issue. Sorry, HoF*
@@chiggsytube Nope. If he doesn't want to be there, take his bust and turn it around so he can't spoil the fan experience of seeing those who WANT to be in the hall. Not those who cry about WHEN they got there.
But all the fans will remember is his acting like a spoiled 3 year old, which is very deserved. He's a ME person. If the spotlight isn't brightly on him, he cries and goes home.
What’s that got to do with what I said. She just needs to play her position as a moderator. Joy chipped in but never on this level. She kept her opinion for her podcast..
I love skip but he started the narrative and never let up..I respect him for being consistent..but he has to own up to it..hes more powerful than he knows...
Terrell will be at the school that helped him get drafted. [Tennessee Chattanooga] and will deliver his speech there, so y'all get your> popcorn ✔READY[real fans only] ninerGANG👊👊
Exactly. Tired of his ridiculous takes on issues. He dogged TO out for years and now he’s gonna throw the rock and hide his damn hand. He’s become a parody of himself, Stephen A too...
Omowàle Zaquir exactly. When Dickerson said he blame the writers, he was talking about skip! And of course Shannon can't keep it real and call skip out..
I respect what TO did because he he is showing that he don’t need any validation anymore. TO is the top 2-3 greatest WR of all time. ALL TIME. You don’t put him in a HOF because he he stands his grown on everything he do and don’t submit? Then when y’all ready they wanna put him in ? Nah I’m a man I know my worth. To turn down HOF speaks volumes I respect him going against the system. Stand your ground TO
The girl (didn't catch her name) made the best point. It was petty and weak of the HOF to not include TO in the ceremony. They should be embarrassed and ashamed.
Owens has something greater than a h.o.f. ballet; a phenomenal physic! He has master the football field and health most importantly the discipline it takes to be healthy. It's self gratifying, and the best man always gets the job.
TO is in phennomenal shape right now and could probably give an NFL team a couple of snaps a game, but it cant be healthy for a man to hold that much bitterness and resentment. Somethings should just be let go.
We don't need their recognition or their accolades he's right to celebrate with your people. We always looking for somebody else to validate us we can validate ourselves 🤩I stand with TO
So why did it take so damn long to put Charles Haley into the HOF? Because sports writers didnt like his attitude... 5 SB rings which he played a key part in helping his teams win 5 SB's! 100 sacks... That resume alone Charles should've been a 1st ballot HOF'r! Yet if u have attitude issues like Charles did & made enemies with sports writers this is what happens! When Owens made enemies with sports writers... Caused division on at least 3 different teams, 49ers, Eagles & Cowboys... Yeah thats not just on sports writers... Thats cause TO & ive always said this about Owens... He would rather lose the game & get his numbers than win & only catch like 2 passes! Thats proven when he played for Dallas his last yr! We started out winning but TO was getting the ball enough... So Tony started force feeding the ball to Owens & we started losing... Owens & Haley both need to accept that attitude goes along with how you played the game!
Oh so his last yr in Dallas which im talking about when he really split the locker room... He was still great & young enough???? Yet what was it a yr in Buffalo which he sucked... Then a yr in Cinci which he sucked... Yeah I think he sucked his last yr in Dallas too! His last yr in Dallas he was still great? Yet his next yrs in Buffalo & Cinci he just fell off? Sure! lmao
Mark 13: 22-23 " For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time."
OfficialJumpman24. With those numbers in any other sport, it wouldnt even be a discussion. There's something to be said about the intergrity of the process
HOF is trying to take back their initial request for T.O. to attend their awards ceremony. Not only is the NFL trying to make a message but the prestigous HOF has double down on their initial invitation request. The fact that they are chosing to make this decision as to discourage any future members from doing this is exactly the double standard that the NFL faces with their fans. This PR stunt is destined to backfire. The no.3 (stat) WR just got into the HOF on the first ballot and it hasn't even been 3 years past since T.O. was dismissed and overlooked.
Skip was part of the reason TO didn't get voted in when he didn't. Reporters shouldn't get to determine what players get in. Players should. Reporters don't lace up and play between the lines.
Don't blame him one bit either! IF you were luck enough to watch T.O. play, you understand. That dudes down year is better than most receivers great years.
Terrell Owens is smart. No one really cares who’s in the Hall of Fame but the story that he didn’t show up to the Hall of Fame 20 years from now and will be told.
How is Skip Bayless, a guy who never played in the NFL and probably never even played football, going to tell Eric Dickerson, an NFL Hall of Famer, who he would want on his football team?! Talking about he saw from the locker room. We all, including Eric Dickerson, know what happened in those locker rooms. Eric Dickerson knows what it takes to make a great football team.
