I love that dog. He looks right at Eric & you can see right on the dogs face the second it registers to him that it’s Eric Johnson. It is almost as if that dog thought to himself....Oh that’s Eric my old friend, I’m safe. I’ll go see who is on the other side of this stage.Eric was wonderful & happy because he was doing his happy dance. I think he loves to do Austin City Limits & if they had more sense they would feature Johnson more often. By himself. He is so loved & well respected in Texas & I love that🌹
When I grow up I wanna play guitar just like that. Got to see E.J. in concert @ Center Stage, Atlanta in 1990. What a show! He does things with a Fender Stratocaster that nobody else can!
LOVE his tone here in the opening song, so full sounding, and refreshing. If I didn't know better, I thought it would be a humbucker pup he was playing that, and not a single coil. the magic of Eric!
He is like the Edge, Jimi Hendrix, and Uli Roth rolled into one , i have been listening to EJ for years on CD , but the fact he sounds so great live is a whole other thing ! Not just studio smoke and mirrors
