I was a music student at North Texas late 70s. A fellow student and guitarist heard Eric in Austin as a teenager. Came back to UNT and changed his major! 🤣 I love this guy no end.

I met Eric Jonson back in 1991 at the Bottom line in New York City. He is empathic, sensitive and humble man. When I hear the Sun meet the sky I know the Sunshine in my soul. Is an grand awaking to my spirit!! I pray that Eric Johnson can play for Flood Churc in San Diego. I am so unspoken when he performed!!🌅🌅🌅🌄🌄🌄🐬🐬🐬

Absolutely astonishingly beautiful music. Just amazing. I am so thankful for people like Eric Johnson, for being so dedicated to what they do. And the thing is, this man will be able to do this long into old age, because I think the pureness of his love for it spiritually transforms him. Go ahead, and laugh at what I just said. I believe it.

Being able to sing and play that at the same time is the stuff of immortals! Wow, the godlyness of this performance...

+Loddentidster I agree. I play guitar too-nothing like him though, and if I play anything and sing at the same time, it is usually something pretty basic. Another musician who can play well and sing well at the same time is John Sykes (ex-Whitenake, Thin Lizzy) Check out one of his solo shows. Eric is a more amazing songwriter though--this stuff is absolutly brilliant and spirtually uplifting. One of the most musical players I think, nobody quite like him

+Loddentidster Playing the guitar and singing is effortless for me , HOWEVER , playing the drums and singing, NO WAY. When you get older your voice changes , plus all the years of stressing the vocal chords. The voice is truly an instrument in itself. Bless.

I've seen Eric 3 or 4 times. The best was early 2000s at the Music Farm in Charleston SC. I was lucky enough to stand right in front of stage and observe his playing from 10 feet away for 2 solid hours. You could look around at the crowd and tell everyone was amazed at his God given talent. That performance is etched into my brain forever.

I've seen so many videos of Mr. Johnson from the 90s and 80s, performing my favorites. I dont know, but it's a bit difficult looking at the age in his face. He'll turn 60 in august. Being born in 93 makes me feel like I've missed out on a lot of time to spend on following him and his career. I know I shouldn't mind, because he's obviously still kicking and I love this performance.
