Love Nadel. I’m so glad he got to call the final game of the World Series. He deserved it as much as anyone. Such an amazing voice and I’ve enjoyed listening to his calls since the late 80s.

Right there with you. I can't count how many nights I spent listening to the radio and the sweet voices of Mark Holtz and Eric Nadel. I wish both could have been here to see this, but I am very happy that at least one of them did.

Some of my favorite memories are listening with my Dad, in the garage, to the radio calls of the Rangers with Eric and Mark Holtz. My dad died a year ago. It's only a sport, but this means a lot to me. I was 12 years old when Eric began calling Ranger games, which is when I began listening. RIP Mark Holtz. Ever since Mr. Holtz left the booth, listening to the Rangers on the radio, I think: "This isn't quite right." Literally every time. Last thought: is there any way you can post the entire game 5 radio broadcast?

I was born 1962. I've lived in DFW most of that time. I first heard of the Texas Rangers in the early 1970's. I asked my big brother, "What are they?" He replied, "A major league baseball team." I asked, "What do they do?" He replied, "They play bad baseball."

OH I wish I could have listened to Eric call the last strike/victory last night LIVE! I had muted the TV cuz Smoltz but I have to tell you that The Fan 105.3 on Audacy (which I had downloaded on my phone a few days earlier) lagged behind the FOX broadcast, & I had great difficulty trying to pause the TV to get it to sync. I gave up each game I tried to use it because it wasn't worth the hassle & it was frustrating. I LOVED what I did manage to hear- you guys so much better than Smoltz, Joe Davis, Kevin Burkhardt, A-Rod, Dave Raymond, CJ...........so I'm hoping y'all can get the lag time fixed before next season when we win our SECOND WS!! 😉♥💙⚾ (Thank you so much for sharing it here! )

So many times as a kid, I would sneak my radio under my bed covers at night to hear the West Coast games that Mark Holtz and Eric Nadel called. Feels asleep many times to their voices. I am sure Mark Holtz was smiling down on his Rangers and his former radio partner Eric Nadel. RIP Mark Holtz

It still does feel like a dream. I felt confident Eovaldi and Montgomery would be a daunting two-game stretch for Arizona, but it just feels unreal that this team is the team that broke through for the Rangers after that 2011 didn't get it done against St. Louis. It just feels strange. Watching them since April took a feeling out process because there were so many new faces...new to me at least because I watched maybe nine total innings the previous year because every time I tuned in they were making God-awful baseball plays. To climb so quickly out of the misery of not being able to watch them....crazy. I was over the moon when they landed Boch, and I felt confident they would get it done in three to five years, but this...credit to the guys...they just did not relent and Boch and the staff never allowed them to waiver. Amazing.
