Genre stars Erica Durance (Smallville), Michael Shanks (Stargate) and Daniel Gillies (Vampire Diaries) discuss their new show, Saving Hope. Interview with Toronto Star columnist Rob Salem at the Bell/CTV upfronts
I see Daniel Jackson so much in Michael in this... with the real fast talking, hyperness, the hand movements and the erm erm ermss when he's explaining stuff :) Love this show, literally addicted.
for a second, just a second, I thought you were talking about Michael Shanks and calling him Daniel because of Stargate. Sorry. In my defence I've never seen Daniel Gillies in anything but Saving Hope and I always forget his name :)
I didn't really like Erica in the roll of Lois, but she won me completely now. I love Daniel in TVD and now here and his accent is awesome. But my real passion is Michael Shanks aka Daniel Jackson lol. He is the one who brought me to this show. I miss Stargate SG1 sooo much that sometimes it actually hurts. It was an excellent kinda nerd TV show that should have never ended (unfortunately Richard Dean Anderson left it and at some point they had to stop).
I know it's SUPER late, but I agree, Michael became my favorite in Stargate and to see him again is oddly refreshing, even though he isn't playing Daniel anymore. You can still see Daniel's personality poking through every now and then. I also really love Daniel Gillies, but Michael is my hero. 😁
Anyway, I hope SH doesn't get cancelled. I'm from Brazil so I don't really know if people in the US are liking it or not. Sometimes we love a show around here and the Americans don't watch there and it get cut. Really hope that won't happen!
It's doing fine, it's the damn critics who are telling people not to watch!!! If it stops airing on NBC please tell me there is a site I can watch this show on? I will just die if I don't get to watch it! Ok, maybe a little overly dramatic but the show is so good.
It was renewed for a second season in Canada on CTV, but in the U.S as far as I know NBC hasn't decided yet if it will continue with the show or cancel it. Funny how It's the #1 show in Canada but it's doing terribly in the U.S
Well, the show isn't doing too good but I honestly don't know if it getting cancelled in America means that it won't continue in Canada, cause this show is Canadian not American. I have to be honest, when I do watch it it's only because of Michael Shanks cause I had a huge crush on him on Stargate SG1, but I'm not really enjoying the show it's self, it's a bit boring. So I'm not expecting it to get renewed for a second season but just for Michael Shank's sake I hope it does.
