I was waiting for the bayonet ("Which end do the bullets go in?"). I always loved it. The hostage one is also always at the top of my list For Fan V. There is (as far as I know) an uncaught/referenced joke in the show (At least I've never seen anyone reference it). It's the episode where Loki kidnaps and clones O'Neil. The team ties down Loki as the real O'Neil awakens and asks "What's going on?" If you listen closely to Daniel's answer, he doesn't say 'Asgard', he emphasizes the 's' and says "Assgard". Subtle but funny.
I mean, at this point in the show, he's already travelled to another dimension and back and also travelled through time as well. He understands a lot of crazy physics shit can happen, given enough time. But Jack reading a report from Carter? Nope! Not a fucking chance.
Michael really created a whole set of body language and facial expressions for Daniel's character with quirks that are not his own if you've seen him as himself or in other roles. Great acting.
@@zippacna But it's so funny -- the idea that Bra'tac is proud of Danny's pecks makes it 2x as good. XD Like "Well done my friend, Teal'c has taught you how to work out well."
I love that scene I wish we had, had a scene about Teal'c's and Bra'tac's concern over Daniel's lack of muscle tone and how to go about doing that. It would have been hysterical.
I also love that scene but to be honest, the 'dont eyeball me' line would have been more effective if he had pointed the P90 at her instead of his finger
'There's no easy way to say this, Sam's just going to come out and say it.' Seen this line so many times, never heard Sam's response. I will admit, I haven't seen every episode.
I think his stint on Burn Notice was around then too, which might have been part of it, but it is also part of Daniels development. In S1, he has to be forced to carry a pistol, but by about S6/S7, he's basically a SpecOps trooper, who happens to be pretty good at archaeology, too
I watched a comic con clip recently on RU-vid where he explained he got bored during the downtime while effects, etc were being set up for some scenes so he brought some weights to work. He said there ended up being a LOT of downtime that series but his wife liked the results 😘
The episode with Vala almost killed me. Especially the part right before she took off the helmet and was trying to seduce him. His face when he thought it was an actual super soldier....ROFL!
Oh I miss this, never ages, jokes always gets smiles and laughs....it will take some excellent casting if this is made again....I for one will watch...
@@marcniehoff6121 Not true. Daniel Jackson and Jack O'Neill have both been killed and brought back to like by a sarcophagus. So its healing powers are permanent.
I liked him more when he was the geeky type. Over time he became less like Daniel Jackson and more like Michael Shanks. He bulked up and even lost the glasses.
This is an old video but on 3:26 they way he just said that "its just fantnating" made me remember me running from one school building to another school building so I can put two of something together. As my teacher panting behind me told me what's wrong and 5 or 6 me told them that "I just want to see how they look together that it."
Still wondering (if I had a fever dream...) In what episode did O'Neill or Mitchell said to Daniel Jackson; "Daniel! Be Carter!"when Jackson had to think mathematical and spacial things because Carter was somewhere else.
(5:46) I feel a lot better knowing an archaeologist is watching our backs. Daniel: Yeah which way do the bullets go in again? (Holds up a combat knife) i died laughing😂😂😂
Dang, how could you have not added the moment in the episode where, in the episode in which a day repeat itself, o'neil and teal'c are learning latin but swiftly swap to juggling with paper ball and then you see daniel (who has been teaching while writing on a blackboard for a couple minutes) turn himself and see them saying "Guys you getting this? 'Cause this is important ..."
Great video! These dialogues are why I loved the show - so funny, and such likeable characters. You really picked the best stuff. This got me thinking - remember when they threw Daniel out of the show? What happened? Who did he piss off? Anyway, glad they brought him back.
Michael Shanks felt like the writers didn’t know what they were doing with his char, or didn’t like the direction they were taking his character (I’ve heard both versions), so he left for a season. After that season, they figured things out in a way Shanks was happy with and he came back.
