follow up , yes i was correct anything connected to the mixer especially 1/4 out to interface via trs creating hum and noise . no issue with ts cables .just for those of you that will run into the same problems .

So honestly I dont remember what worked best. It has been a quite a while since i had this in my studio to play around with. But unfortunately I also experienced some grounding issues. Turning the LEDs off helps, but I there is still a little ground hum. I was able to mitigate it enough to shoot the video. I tried other cables and power supplies after shooting this video, but the noise would have annoyed me in the long run, hence why I let it go.

This is really cool! I'll have to consider one once I finally build up an effects pedal collection

One thing you may want to do is utilize the quarter inch ins/outs on the rear panel for pedals. That way you don't have to use adapters, and you have up to two FX send loops.

I did. I used then for my main ins and outs in this video. That's why you don't see anything plugged into the front for the first few ins and outs

I always regretted not getting a Shure Auxpander while they were still available. This seems like a good (better?) substitute...

Ok. . You explained at the end. Thanks. Somewhat of a hassle but wow, such flexibility.

any idea why this mixer create so much noise connecting second input channel on my apollo x ?i turned off the leds but not much help .only thing that comes to my mind is that the mixer its not compatible with TRS cables because connecting one channel does not transfer sound to interface connecting second cable does provide sound in stereo . i dont have any TS cables to confirm and all my devices are TRS compatible. Erica provides no help whatsoever . great idea but bad execution i would say

I kind of feel like calling this a mixer is a misnomer. This is more of a patch bay with digitally controlled routing rather than using wires. If you could control the levels and panning in a way other than just on or off, I would consider this to be a mixer. It is very useful and flexible but volumes and panning would have to be controlled on the devices connected to it or an external mixer. One thing I'm wondering about is will signals that are too hot damage it? Does clipping on it sound interesting? Does it have a way to show you that your inputs are clipping? I don't recall seeing any guitar switchers that have 16 loops so this might have a bit more power in that regard. It seems like it would be a good alternative to a manual patch bay. Thanks for the demo!

Hi and thank you for your video. Could you kindly let me know if is it also possible to use a Y splitter cable 2x Jack 1/4" Mono Female (L/R) to 3.5 mm Stereo Jack? (In this case the inputs and outputs could be doubled). Thank you in advance

What can the midi port be used for on the matrix mixer?

How are you using banana jacks routing FX pedals that are standard 1/4” out/in ? I’m used to banana jacks on my Serge way back when but how is this being accomplished?. . Some sort of conversion jacks?. . .

Those aren't banana's, they are TipTop Audio Stackcables. Similar concept to a banana, but a standard 3.5mm (1/8 inch) jack. I'm using little 1/8 to 1/4 inch adapters on the effects pedal jacks. I only used the stack cables because of the colors. I wanted the colors to be obviously so the routing was more clear.

@@ZacharyRizer What about proper attenuation for line level from eurorack levels?

@@ZacharyRizer could you please clarify for me if using standard stereo (trs) 1/4 to 1/8 adapters will work with the unbalanced ts ("mono") Instrument cables that mostly all my pedals use. There's a bazillion trs adapters but I'm wondering if I need to specifically use unbalanced ts adapters as they aren't as widely available
