Red Bull SŌLUS is BACK and BETTER than ever!
Ryan Sheckler has once again opened the doors to his skatepark and invited 17 of the world’s most well-rounded skateboarders to battle it out in year two of Red Bull SŌLUS. Each skater has one hour to put together their best line at The Sandlot; no crowd, no other skaters, no distractions - just an internal battle to get the best line possible.
Erick Winkowski is the definition of unique. From trick selection and board size, Erick has carved his own path in skateboarding that looks like no one else. While old-school 80’s shapes have made a comeback in recent years, no one rides them like Erick. He can do Ho-Ho plants on vert or Smith grind a 20-stair handrail on them. Yeah, he’s something special.
Erick rides for Santa Cruz, Indy, OJ, Mob Grip, Bronson Speed Co, and Emerica.
Our judges, Vanessa Torres, Mike Sinclair, and Jason Rothmeyer, will evaluate each video based on style, progression and creativity. Following the judges announcement, you will have a chance to vote on your favorite video part and the fan favorite will be announced on October 26th.

@@Rob-in-hood They're super fun for a lot of stuff but they can be pretty tough to skate, there's definitely a reason the industry evolved past those shapes. But like I said, they can be super fun for certain types of skating.

That handplant was insanse...best thing I've seen so far, other than foy..reguardless this guy...going hard on that plank! Breathing hard and sweating is what real skaters do, actually the best he can do... awesome to watch...pure love.

thats why i love erick... skating is more fun alone sometimes than needing the homies or squad. skateboarding alone is skateboarding too. thank you Erick im tired of people in every video like skateboarding and my homies and friends blah blah... like i skateboard cause i dont need other people. true individual scramskiis for life

@@idontwantone132 no ones hating but maybe you hate the fact you need other people around to skate? idk i got into skating for maybe different reasons than you and i was just giving props to erick, one dude who ll say and has finally said on camera he prefers it. i have sessions all the time with people at the park , i love and cherish those but i dont rely on them , maybe you do. definitely not hate...youre misidentifying what HAte is. never said i hate people that skateboard with others , that would be ridiculous now wouldnt it be K

And it shouldn't bother you how other people prefer to skate. Maybe you hate the fact you have no friends to skate with? See both of us can make baseless assumptions that aren't true. And when people say you're hating on something they don't mean you literally HATE said thing. And you know that So maybe to clear up the misunderstanding I'll substitute another word: why does it bother you that other people prefer to skate with their friends instead of skating alone? It's really weird you say you're tired of people in every skate video shouting on their homies but then say you were just giving props to Erick

Loved it. Reminds me of my skateboarding era. Loved my old school SMA board. People forget how hard it was flipping these land tanks. I remember when concave was insane to see. I even had Schmitt stixxs boards.

This was so awesome! I just cannot understand how using that board wouldn't be a massive hindrance particularly for street stuff. He obviously makes it work and it's part of his style but damn, that's like skating with weights on your ankles. Makes everything he does that much more impressive

even though I started skating with a board like that (Vision Jinx!), I have no idea how he manages to skate so good with that thing. There's no nose almost! Not to mention doing fs kickflips with that thing....Awesome to watch. My fave so far along with CJ Collins and Tanner Van Vark.

I love how skating has no rules, you can ride whatever you like, express yourself creatively etc but from a tech standpoint I don't think that deck is doing him too many favours. From a marketing standpoint sure, because now you'll all remember him. Oh hi Santa Cruz - i see you up there! 🤘😂 Regardless he seems like a great dude and clearly rips.
