Erie is a great city. I have a lot of family that live there. I always have to visit Millcreek Mall when I'm in the area. I didn't know Emily but I'm so touched by your coverage of her. 😢

As what happens with many women reaching a certain age in the media business, they are either asked to take a “behind the scenes” position or take a severance package. I have a friend who’s mother was in this position. She worked for awhile behind the scenes then took a nice severance. It’s a business. They want their on-air talent to be marketable. Women have more pressure in this regard. Right, many people face potential changes in the workplace for whatever reason, including termination. Some get through, some don’t. Of course her employer with the montages of memories with the emotional music. Make a show of it and cash in on her death. I’m sure she probably knew that they would because that’s the media business.

A horrible person who decided to end her life and hurt all those who loved her. She was a very selfish person. How many little kids with cancer have the courage and the stamina and will to live that would have shamed Emily into living. Very sad. Anyone who recklessly threw away life like that should absolutely not be celebrated. How dare this woman throw away this beautiful life. It violated every religious and moral principals

A horrible person is the person who judges. He who judges will be judged

Her living is not gonna stop people dying who don't want to. Either way, both are suffering.. one with the pain of living and one with the pain of dying. Just because one seems like a choice, doesn't mean they suffered less. The brain gets sick just like any other part of the body and some people cannot think clearly or control their mood. People like you have obviously never experienced severe depression before to make a comment like that and are lucky but don't judge others when you've no clue what they were going through and secretly dealing with it. A lot of mental illness is also a self-worth issue and people don't choose to feel worthless. There's a whole multitude of factors that creates that sense in people and if they knew they had worth, they would have chosen better.

I dont think this selfish woman should be celebrated. she had no respect for her life or the people who loved her . She callously threw away her life with such reckless abandonment. She should not be celebrated. She hurt every person who loved her. What an awful person who put those who loved her into such pain and sorrow. Horrible act of selfishness that is unforgivable

@MalEvansUSA Where's your compassion? This woman touched so many lives and the pain of her not being here needs to be dealt with. You are the proverbial guy that kicks a person when they're down. Smells like online bullying to me ..

It's pretty bad when you have to write two different comments about Emily. It sounds to me like you're a little bit jealous

God is the only one who judges. For he who judges will be judged. I look at this as a great opportunity to practice empathy, compassion and forgiveness. Its a great way to learn as we are all here to learn. Earth school 😊

@@MalEvansUSA yes and because of that, it opens doors for her family and friends to practice forgiveness and empathy. Its why us souls are here on earth. God teaches us to forgive one another. How are we suppose to practice that if nobody does anything wrong? In life, we all are going to be put into un pleasant situations. Its how we deal and react to it. Some worse than others. Personally ive never had any extreme situations but im ready!!! To forgive and to love and be compassionate cuz i got lots in the tank
