I'm latino came to this country in 1979 and Eric Estrada was the first latino I saw on a television series CHiP's and felt like I could see myself in him and that I could make it in this country. I love the show CHiP'S and fell in love riding motorcycles. I like the way he didn't hold back about George Lopez.
I met Erik Estrada in the 90's along with his two sons I ask him for autograph he was so humble n he even shook my hand, I saw George Lopez at a car show at San Fernando High School he ignored the crowd, Danny Trejo was there too he took pictures with his fans and made small talk. I'm sure George Lopez is a real nice guy when he wants to be..
Man, I have to say, I met Erik Estrada at the Orlando airport, I think it was 2011 or 2012. He is one of the most friendly cool guys ever. He sat with me and my friend for at least 20 minutes and was so friendly. They called for our flight to leave and he actually stood up with us, shook our hands and gave us a real hug. Great human being. George Lopez is the exact opposite, horrible person.
My dad was the type who would NEVER watch a Telenovela but pops LOVED watching “Dos Mujeres Un Camino” with my mom. 😂 He worked in the service industry in Hollywood for many years and he told me that one of the coolest celebrities he would run into was Erik Estrada and that he would always be kind and say hello. I was part of a crew of AT&T telephone installers in the early '80s, working on a certain multi-millionaire's $8 million home upgrade in Studio City, when her then 'boyfriend' Erik Estrada came a calling. (I won't name the woman in this story.) I was under/behind her bed, attaching phone wires along the baseboard, while she was in the bathroom, with the door closed, when Estrada came in, saw my legs sticking out from under the bed, and accused her of having some sort of sordid affair and hiding me under the bed! I guess he missed the six AT&T vans and multiple employees around the house, or he was just trying to prove to her how 'macho' he could be! Regardless, I wasn't intimidated, she dressed him down in front of a crew of phone guys, and he sheepishly admitted he may have been mistaken! Well, duh! So much for Mr. Macho! - I never met Lopez, so I can't comment about him.

My wife told me about this when we were watching one of George Lopez stand up specials, and I thought to myself "well that's messed up." But listening to Erik Estrada side of it I can see both sides of the story but tbh you can only go so long holding grudges because they just weigh you down.

I met Erik at the restaurant where I work. I was his waitress. Awesome guy. So down to earth. Even while he was enjoying his meal with his family he did not snub anyone off. People flocked to his table asking for autographs and pictures and did it all with a genuine smile and good attitude. I doubt he was so rude to George Lopez... I can't picture it.
I have a cousin who used to work at Frys in Burbank. Apparently Erik would occasionally pop in for his tech needs and apparently he was kind of a douche, every time.

I never met Erik, but in 78 or 79' they were filming at San Fernando park. My brother and cousin were riding their bikes around the set, and the set director yelled at them to get off the set. Erik also yelled at them to get off. His partner was there too. I always thought Erik was an ahole since then, but now I could understand why he yelled from afar, for our safety from the stunts and chase scenes. Wouldn't want to accidentally wander into those chase scenes as a naive kid and get hurt. Erik, never met you, but you were always my favorite character in that show. I'm sure you meant well warning my brother, and I'm sure you're a great down to earth man. God bless brother.

We saw George Lopez at the Brea Atrium and after the show he was signing autographs and we tried to talk to him and he didn't say anything to us like thanks or I'm glad you enjoyed the show , after all that I knew he wasn't a nice guy ! We saw Eric Estrada in a mobile home park in fountain Valley driving his gold Rolls-Royce and he said hello to us , he was there actually visiting a friend , he always had the reputation of being a down to earth guy!, I still remember his personal license plate PAPO 4

Erik was in a phone booth making a call when he finished George said hello and tried shaking his hand. Erik said something like leave me alone and George has been pissed since then. George mentioned the fight Erik proposed and he threatened to sue.
