Thank you so much.. If your hip pain is causing your life to change so much then it really is a sign to seek help. Slowly my life kept changing over the years and I couldn't do more and more but I accepted it as the 'norm' because that's just what happened with hip pain.. however I left it far too late and one day simply couldn't walk anymore. Definitely don't do what I did and get the help because recovery was so much harder and so so so much more painful when you leave it to the very last moment. I use to limp almost all the time, could never walk more than half an hour without limping and being in pain and groin pain all the time. I lived off pain killers almost everyday and looking back it wasn't the way to live life you know? The surgery is painful and so is the recovery BUT now after going through everything I have, if I could have chosen to have the surgery before my hip broke down on me I would definitely do it - even knowing what it was like now so I definitely recommend seeing a specialist and talking about your options or at least seeing if there is anything you can do now to help the pain. I did have a few cortisone injections into the joint to see if it would help the pain, I have heard of this helping a few other people but for me unfortunately it was too little too late.
