45 male who had perthes diagnosed at 10. Just had hip replacement 30 days ago and I’m pain free for the first time in years🙏 I don’t have better range of motion then before surgery but I’m no longer in constant pain. Hoping to be better than ever soon.
Thankyou for sharing, I was born with perthes disease in both hips, left side not so bad but the right side wasn't good, back in 1977 the treatment was new, I started with Calipers then traction and finally an operation on both hips where they inserted metal plates for a year then another operation a year later to remove them, I had the same advice from my surgeons at the time, you can't run or playsports, no bikes skateboards etc but I smiled and told them I will and I did, I played many sports and ran and rode a bike
i just came across this video, im 45 yrs old an have had perthes disease all my life, when i was was 5 in 1981 the doctors had no idea how to deal with it. when i was 18 they gave me 2 options fuze the hip solid or wait till im 50 and have it repplaced, well 30 yrs of working , walking on my right side (the healthy side) i know have now ruined my right foot and right knee. i hope everything went well with the surgery.

I love Pandora sterling silver. I have gotten a nice small collection and I enjoy wearing silver or gold in general. However, silver MUST be washed by soap and water and dried by a dry towel well. If not washed it will oxidize and turn dark.

Hi! I'm 31 years old, hx of right sided perthes disease from the age of 8. I'm from the UK but have been living in Aus with my other half for the last 6 years (currently back in england). I'm waiting for my hip replacement - don't have the date yet but it'll be in about 3 months time. So glad to finally find other people out there who not only have had perthes disease but have had hip replacements at a young age. I just had a little boy via c -sec too as my hip made natural delivery a no go. We are headed back to Aus in the next few years too. Looking forward to watching the rest of your videos!
I'm 12 years old I have perthes desease I got diagnosed with this when I was 5-6years old I have had it since, I all ways go to hospital every 6 months but my hip is now heeling up so I don't hav to go back
Hi I found your video and I was shocked cause I’m going through the same thing I have had 2 surgeries so far labrum tear and another labrum tear dr don’t know why I can’t walk without crutches and think I’m to young for hip replacement I’m 37 I have 2 walkers crunches and canes started with cane now I’m up to walker omg your story is so me right now please tell me I’m not crazy
Hey i had both hip replaced and i am only 24 right now. Life is not that same but alot better than the painful life. I am happy that i can walk like everyone and not dependent on anyone now for my daily work... best thing is i can go to bathroom and take shower on my own.. i had this pain for complete 2 years and finally i decided to get the surgery done. Only wanna tell u that we are blessed that we are able to walk..
Hi , I was born with perches too in my left hip also but it never bothered me when I was growing up until we had a bad winter 2010 in Scotland I work for a electricity company and out walking fields in the deep snow that month didn’t help its like it got the cold into it then the sharp pains started and then it started becoming very very stiff no range of movement at all then over the next 6 yrs I walked about in it hoping it would go away but I had walked about that much I ground 4cm of my hip grinding my pelvis out then 2016 nov I got it replaced new lease of life it’s still 2 cm short left me with a limp still have to wear a wee step in my shoe but other than that happy I got it done good luck
Omg I can’t deal with the pain, no more pain meds I’m done with everything, pretty much don’t have a life, going for surgery may, 02 my arthritis is severe and the pain is literally at the worst! 😒 I’m only 42 and can’t believe I’m going through this. Hope you doing better 🙏🏻
