@@CECT08 in Sword and Shield, they made it so using a Rare Candy on a level 100 unevolved Pokémon causes it to evolve instead of increasing a level, i havent tested it, but i assume it still works in Scarlet and Violet. If it does, your Primeape will be able to evolve
For anyone who doesn't want to use 2 specific herbas, you can use the recipe: 1 Red Bell Pepper 1 Green Bell Pepper 1 Yellow Red Pepper 1 Prosciutto 2 Herbed Sausages and 2 hera mystica of your choice
For me I think I'll just one day end up getting a shiny Mankey by eggs. For some odd reason while Skeledirge (female), Annihalape (female) and Sawsbuck (male) are all on the field egg group, my Sawsbuck seems to mostly choose Annihalape. I don't assume starters hatching from eggs are meant to be rare because the Fuecoco hatches only came when I had my male Oinkologne on the team.
@@Djirifoekrkfkf that's what I'm saying, the raids are a lot better in offline mode. Significantly less lagging and bugs, overall a much smoother experience. However, you need to have a Pokémon that can handle a difficult raid on it's own because the NPCs are useless. I have both copies of the game and an extra switch so I can do the raids with 2 decent Pokémon, and double the rewards.
You could probably use a Encounter lvl 2 sandwich and still get plenty of Mankeys in that area while saving up on the Herba Mystica, but I'd have to test for myself
That'd be fine too, tho the Encounter 2 method in my opinion is better for hunts where you move away from all the Pokemon to despawn them and then return to their area. The picnic method gets a bit tedious for non Shiny Wich encounters to me
I must have the world's worst luck, because this is the only shiny I've had trouble with so far... I've been hunting this spot for hours a day for nearly a WEEK and not seen a single shiny, even with the dang sandwich boost! I'm beginning to think mankey is cursed edit: actually it might just be bad luck, because I was spouting off in the comments of another video about how quick shiny hunting has become, I done jinxed myself
Just a bit of feedback here. I would suggest putting mankey shiny hunt in the description or something. I was looking for this specific video for ages and couldn’t find it for the life of me.
Did you save in front of them? Saving and reloading will preserve the spawns around you, including shinies of course. Had shiny run-ins with a Voltorb (self explanatory) and a Staravia that was the exact level it had to be to learn a recoil move. Had I not saved I wouldn't have both of those shinies
@@pitchblendeprotogen I accidentally picnic reset while trying to save over the shiny Pawmi and I was so shocked by the tatsugiri that I forgot to save. It was completely my fault which is why it is even worse.
@@jamezgaming9061 Oof. I've dreaded when I'll be picnicking for one and do that, which is why I've forced my muscle memory to use R for saving the game
if you dont like picnic, ( like i do, this method will sink your fps into the toilet ) you can head just south of this location in the grassy area, there's a nice circular route you can take just before the bridge, and it will 99% spawn mankeys there too if you sandwiching, and it spawns in groups of 5. ( there's hariyama but thats like 1 in 100 encounter or smth )
It's too bad shiny annihilape is barely different from regular annihilape otherwise I'd definitely be on the hunt. Like they couldn't have made him green or anything?

okay shiny odds in this game are easy nothing more nothing less I got the game on Christmas this is my third day playing and I got a shiny this has NEVER HAPPENED once it takes at least a month for me
Easiest way for me to get shiny annihilape was just to get super lost day 1 Instant random shiny mankey, didn't even know it had a third stage and was disappointed I got one I could get easily in let's go all the way until I saw annihilape for the first time
iirc above dalizapa passage there's grass that spawns cetoddle and I don't believe many other ice types spawn there. would have to double check though because there's no other spots I can think of. i got one randomly after flying to the mountain peak, I literally thought "man I hope I find a shiny cetoddle" and BAM
@@empresscarrie6230 I second this, the grassy area ahead of zapapico (west) has mostly cetoddle if you go with an ice encounter sandwich, you'll also find sneasel, snom and occasionally snorunt, but cetoddle has a lot of spawns and mostly spawns in groups, and they are unbelievable easy to spot in the grass.
Serebii got a spawn map if you want to look up in which area you can isolate certain pokemon and there is also an isolation sheet made by cbk_zip which shows with what kind of sandwich you can hunt for specific pokemon
