Ermis carried 190kgs of body hanging down on just his arm…. Brother thats the strongest arm ever. Even stronger than levans. Levan won round cuz of his body weight, but solely if we talk about arm. This arm is the strongest ever. And hes the best for pound for pound
I'm so happy for Ermes. You can feel in his voice he's emotional at the beginning of the video. Nobody would have thought Ermes would do so good against Levan, even himself. A rematch must happen at this point. Great job Ermes !
What a match, WHAT A HEART from italian Champion! I liked him even before the match but now i became Ermes's fan for sure! Amazing performance, and remember... The last one standing WAS YOU!
If this match was WAL 2 foul format with running fouls, you could argue ermes actually won that match. What an awesome performance, brought the georgian hulk to the brink of death, literally had him on life support. Forza Italia !
With running fouls round 3 Ermes had Levan in an unwinnable position where Levan fouled and then flash pinned Ermes after the restart because Ermes gave up his pronation to press Levan before that. Without the restart, Levan would have gassed and lost 2-4.
As an Ermes fan Levan defently deserved to win. But the score was 4-2 not 4-0. Levan is comparable to MJ, messi and Ali. Whoever says that he was a pssy to quit, health is more important, he still lost these 2 rounds.
Round 5 was, WOW, what a performance from Ermes. Holding a TITAN like Levan is basicly impossible for everybody. Ermes did it, and close to finish him. Impressive. By the way, congrats to both, and congrats to Levan, even considering he quited.
Hai detto bene.
Holding him in round 5 was probably way easier at that point cause Levan almost couldn't breathe. Its crazy that holding a half-passed out Levan is impressive.
I only have respect for Ermes, first what he did to Dave make my jaw dropping and now he stopped Levan nearly every round and even had him need medical attention and not able to have the last two rounds
Ermes the real king! Mind and heart of a champion! Nothing but love and respect for him!! Levan...noone will forget what you did when you were about to lose.....
Well said. This outcome has schocked everyone for sure. I am really hyped right now, because after that we will definitely see more aggressive and more powerful trainings from both sides as well. Levan may be a bit "scared" ( in a good way), he felt Ermes, he knows, what was going on. Thats why I think Levan would push himself even harder (if it possible) to defend his title in a rematch, because he knows, Ermes would not let that happen. I feel Ermes has got an enormous mental boost right now as he could have almost win. Ermes is going to activate the "gladiator" mode for sure. There is a legendary aftermatch in front of us. Lets see, how these guys go crazier than before!!!
If his power improves as quickly as his English skills, he will definitely win a potential rematch. He may have lost this fight, but he won a lot of hearts and respect tonight 👏
Джон легенда !!! Ему равных нет и не будет ! В 60 лет дал молодым урок что нельзя его списывать с счетов !!! Пока есть дух будут и силы! Здоровья и долгих лет Легенде!
If ermes weight was 150 kg or more then he will be the winner of this match still it’s 4:2 maybe in next 6 months he can beat levan or maybe in a year ❤😂
Ermes is already topping off his frame I says he can add 10 kg more in 1 year but idk how healthy he will be .. don’t want him to start soaking off that HgH I feel like he can be ready in a rematch at 136kg
Ermes gave his all on the table. Even though he lost the match but still had gas left in tank to go another 2 rounds. What a champion. And how excited he was when John was appreciating him. Just love it.
Ermes is an amazing champion in his own right. You could tell he lived for the sport and making Levan uncomfortable in his throne at the top is admirable and emotional. I wish him the best of luck for the rematch he makes Europe proud.
Always bringing us great exclusive content, thanks Matt. The match was absolutely amazing and its one of the few cases that the winner of the whole match was not necessarily the better arm wrestler.
Usually I find myself on the edge of my seat, but today I was jumping up and down in my living room! I had 2 favorites going in to these matches but when they started I couldn't believe the absolute hart that all of these guys put into these matches they all became my favorite. My hats off to those guys , what an amazing tournament 👏. That's one for the history books .
What a beast! If that match didn't make you feel alive, I don't know what will. Levan still the King, and I am sure he will use this experience to streamline himself to a better, more sustainable version of him - "quaaality, my friend" 😁😁
Ermes is my favorite ArmWrestler of all time now, I always said it was between Pushkar and him, but now is totally him, what a beast. If he only showed up 140-150 Levan was done.
Ermes was impressive man, I thought Levan would cruise through with Ermes managing to offer some resistance for a few seconds. But this dude fucked it up for everyone writing him off, he was so impressive, literally humanized Levan for everyone else to see, he's the man the first man ever to do it that too at 132kg. Ermes and Denis were just awesome tonight
So impressive performance from Ermes, especially since it was an unfamiliar style for him. He truly has the heart of a warrior and love how excited everyone was about it, rightfully.
@@modestmagpie5621 Not just pronation but back pressure too. Ermes tried to flop wrist press from the beginning at one round and got flash pinned. The same would've happened to Jerry or worse.
John is someone who has really done some soul-searching and really learned to embrace humbleness and humility.. he really is I believe a good role model,a lot of these guys are just ego-driven and putting on a front but true colors come out eventually. He really seems to wish the best for people ... also I'm really happy to hear John say screw this heavyweight crap and he's going back to his normal weight class.. because he needs to be worried about longevity and health and trying to be a heavyweight when you're not isn't healthy at all...
Since that match, Ermes gained my full respect. His training videos are awesome too. Very strong as a skinny kid and now he is huge. It’s not hard to see why he’s #2
Levan was barely breathing on the videos, saying "I feel good". Bruh, he clearly was not ok, I said that and I don't need to be a doctor. This match should put him in a little reflections.
respect ermes!!! respect man!! your r a man!! thank you for a brilliant show and for that fight!!! u r true gladiator!!! lot of respect from georgia :)
How could you not like and root for these 2 guys. Some of the nicest guys in the business for sure. Happy for Ermas and even John to have gotten in another match. Gotta appreciate any match we get to see him in as not many left.
These guys are both my favorites, but John is my biggest idol and inspiration, hopefully get to meet & pull with him one day. John reach out to me when you get a chance.
When Levan called sickness a few weeks back I knew that he was worried. he looked very solid in round 5 but tired.. and then sadly round 6 never happened. I am so happy for Ermes as this was such a historical moment for the sport and I am so happy I got to watch this live! Truly incredible!
Lol, once Levan goes shoulder to shoulder inside with Ermes and wants to do a cheap flop press, if Levan is willing to go inside it's over, and Levan got 4 pins, how many did Ermes get again??
@@GodofThunder699 This new Denis is more impressive imo. That hand is mega now, John would take Denis' hand in the past, not this time, this new Denis reloaded has a bastard of a hand control and pressure now
@@sm6086 It's not risky if Ermes would be man enough to still pull inside if Levan went inside, but it would be risky if Levan went inside while Ermes went outside.
@@ancapgrandscribe9546 Well ermes would be dumb to go inside. I dont know if you saw it but for a split second levan tried to finish with a press leaving the outside lane and going more inside ermes immediately rolled out and brought him back to center and levan immediately switched back. They both have way too much pronation and wrist strength to even think about forcing a hook on each other. We will never see a hook with these two believe me.
Well done to Ermes,,, it didn't surprise me,knew he was going he was going stop Levan,he is very experienced, and has a champions persona, fully, in all areas of the sport. Very humble too, which after this now will have even more fans
This whole event was epic, only quality 👌 I though Ermes could give some resistance but did even better than I could hope, I was just amazed at some points, couldn't believe what I was seeing.
In my opinion he won. In any sport if you quit you lose, but whatever. He showed how strong he is, and now he will get the credit he deserves. Ermes is amazing.
i guess a lot of people are spouting this nonsense, if you're up 4-0 in a 6 round supermatch you can no longer lose, what if you just go up to the table and don't fight, you win 4-2, same if you choose to not compete the last two rounds, you win 4-2 It's not that hard to do math with single digits, you guys can do it...
Denis made Brzenk realize the superheavyweights have always been too much for him. I was hoping they would have an extra round where Denis would gift him a round for sportsmanship but I'm fine with ending it with a good laugh from both of them. As for Ermes - I was kinda mad at the referee for not squaring Levan's shoulders at first but it probably wouldn't have made a huge difference. Ermes deserves praise for his fighting spirit and willingness to risk injury to win a round off a lost match.
John has more superheavyweight wins as the lighter guy more than anyone in the sport. What are you talking about? You’re just trying to raise Denis’s win higher lol
@@QuietToproll That's probably Babayev but what I'm saying is he lost more matches than he won vs superheavyweights. He was out of his depth so many times over the years that I was getting frustrated watching him. I'm glad he finally let go of that ambition and decided to stick to his weight category. As for Denis' win, I literally talk about a mismatch due to weight difference so how does that raise Denis' win higher?
@@nvmffs he won more matches than lost in supers. Don’t forget about tournaments. You said Denis made Brzenk realize supers have *always* been too much for him. No. Age has.
@@QuietToproll Well, yeah, I should've specified I'm talking about top 10 superheavyweights only. Not just any random big guy out there. As for age, it is a factor of course but 44 year old (he was 44 when Denis first beat him) isn't old at all in the world of armwrestling. Devon is older than that and most agree that his current form is his best ever.
@@nvmffs John beat top 10 supers as a lighter guy lol. Look at his career… random big guys? Haha wow that’s ignorant. Educate yourself. There are a bunch of established super heavyweights he beat with a winning record. Devon hasn’t beaten anyone in the top 10 since Michael Todd in 2021 and prior to that he lost to Michael in 2018.
