Both the Christian Post , and the Akron Beacon Journal noted in reports last September (2019) that their sources told them he hadn't been seen in his church for some time. In February of 2020, Angley and his Ministry reached a confidential out of court settlement with Brock Miller. The settlement is confidential except for a non disparagement clause. Angley , countersued Miller for defamation in that case. Attorneys for both sides agreed Angley would not testify or be deposed due to age related health problems had the case gone to trial. The ABC report I mentioned concerned the settlement. Critics and supporters have said the Church Buffet is closed , and that the closure is permanent. The Church and Angley had denied the allegations (Miller's) in public statements.

This place lives up to the true definition of the word CULT. I'm so glad Brock got out of Disgraced Cathedral. I believe every word of Brock's testimony including how Angley begged him for forgiveness in the end for having done anything that offended......who would make up such a story if it weren't true? We are too trusting as a society, often projecting our good nature onto other people, including sociopaths unfortunately, thinking there's no way they are capable of behaving in any way unbecoming to what we would expect of ourselves. This does not make any sense Frank. Brock was an associate pastor. When Angley was in Africa - Brock was preaching the sermons. Does Brock need protection from himself? Maybe he does. Was he to young and inexperienced to be given the job of associate pastor? It was his job to council people dealing with abuse them like this. At least 20% of the people that went to him for counseling has had to deal with issues like this. Of course Angley did claim that he could teach and train Brock. So I can see how we got to where we are at now.

@@frankpeto9369 Yes I read the article. I attended the church for 10 years. I left just about the time Brock was hired as an associate pastor. He use to hang round the lobby back then and I do remember talking to him. All of this stuff must have happened after I left. I use to take a lot of notes and I have a container filled with notebooks from the Bible College and the services at the Church. They can all preach a good sermon. Rev Angley said this was a battle between Brock and Chris as to who was going to take control of that church. I am as interested as anyone as to how all of this is going to play out in court. Also the church belongs to the members. So I wonder what will happen when Rev Angley is no longer able to run things.

I do agree that the messages helped me learn about the bible but knowing what I see and hear now, we have to also remind ourselves that Jesus warned us that "in the last days many false prophets will arise performing signs and wonders and if it were possible could even deceive the very elect of God" Anything come to mind with Jesus' warning? What they broadcast on TV is highly edited. Those are filmed during the week in the studios. If you go there during another day, when its not being televised, first they come on with the music, then at the end, a lady clearly states you must give 10th of your wages as a tithe to god. Then comes angley... he can barely walk, he looks dead. It takes him 5 min to get to the pulpit, which is kinda cool, it pops up and down electronically. He gets there, breaths hard, he's out of breath. He can't talk, no one can understand what he is saying, then when he says a certain bible chapter, everyone flys and opens their bible to that chapter. Also many have notebooks taking notes! LOL Also when the services open up, people are up there bowing on the stage praying to it. For a while, I got scared, I thought they could pull the cool-aid out at any time, and everyone was going to commit mass suicide. They are brainwashed that much. Then after angley gets done, everyone rushes up to the state from the audience and starts bowing and raising their hands and bowing and kissing the stage. You really need to go see it, its better than any movie and it's free. Kinda funny as soon as they do the collecting stunt, all of them rush off in a single file to dump the $ to whomever. It's kinda obvious they are scared of the ushers keeping the $. And then when they ask for donations, people JUMP, they get their check books out like they are thrilled to give $. Sadly.. Mr Angely stated his plane is broken (more like his JET) and the trip to africa is cancelled. I was amazed, I though ti would see a lot of junker cars in the parking lot. Not so, most were newer cars, clean, even saw a lexus. I think the big attraction is the family atmosphere, thats what keeps people coming back, every0one feels like they are part of the family. And afterwards.. for a LOVE DONATION of $6 you can eat as much at their restaurant as you like, amazingly the food is good. Earnest Angley has helped a lot of people that were not able to get help anywhere else. If you serve God Satan is going to try to bring you down to destroy your ministry. If Rev Angley was weak then people should help to strengthen him in the Lord. God's grace is sufficient and all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. I knew Brock back when he began and he was young and innocent. Maybe he should not have been an associate pastor if he did not understand this kind of abuse and how to deal with it. I know a girl that is ROTC in the army and they train then right off how to deal with this sort of thing. We are in the Army of God and it is the pastors job to equip the saints. Judgement begins with the house of God. If this is the way it is for the people that devote their lives to serve God then what will be the outcome for those that are in the world. @@frankpeto9369 I am not blaming Brock. Rev Angley said he would teach Brock what he needed to learn to do the job. My Father served our community as a Pediatrician for 50 years. When he died and we shredded his medical records there were investigations into sexual abuse in at least 20 % of the files. My brother was director of the Psychology department at Children's hospital and I asked him why that report looked the way it did. He said they wanted to be sure people would put it away and not leave it out on their desk where people could see them. We followed the letter of he law and did exactly what the law requires us to do with those files. The real problem is going on in the Catholic Church. According to the Justice Dept: "More Than 2,300 Suspected Online Child Sex Offenders Arrested During Operation “Broken Heart”. So this is very much an issue the legal system is dealing with right now. It is to bad that Brock is a part of the problem and not a part of the cure. Some people may believe that they're getting help just because they feel better about hearing a message. A snake oil salesman pitch always sounds good at a trade show. How many people believe that their lives are better after being talked into buying a product or service? Just because people felt that a message helped them, doesn't mean that it actually does. For others, drugs and alcohol for self medicating has been known to help people. I guess it's all in how you look at it. Bottom line is that people will choose to believe in whatever it is they want to believe in. If Angley has deceived people into actually believing that attending his church, giving their last dollar on a monthly basis and listening only to his messages help them, then they get what they settle for. Some women trapped in physically abusive relationships actually believe they deserve those nightly beatings too. I feel very sorry for these cult members trapped in this cult because they project the goodness in their hearts onto Angley who is a sociopath. Total empathy deficit with him. They see him in a light that would never mean to do no harm not realizing that they're totally being exploited and taken advantage of.
