An absolutely beautiful golf swing, and a GREAT guy !! Leon van Rensburg. Punt in die wind.

Excellent analysis! I’ve tried to emulate Els swing and his low hands or low handle in the takeaway really sets up his swing for power and excellent ball striking because he’s completely extended. His flexibility w the straight left arm one reason he has such a great swing. His flexed right knee also help w a stable base! His book “how to build a classic swing” is outstanding. If Tiger had not come onto the scene, he would have had five more wins on the tour which includes 2 more majors.

4 time major champ, and would like to see old swings in these champions tour breakdowns to see how they have changed

Is that a weak, neutral, or strong grip?

If I got to the top of my back swing like that, it would feel so uncomfortable 😂

Mark Immelman is too young to know Ernie Els won 4 majors. Even more distressing that this "golf commentator" doesn't even know this about his fellow countryman.

Face angle drawn on the video does not actually match the face The teaching industry has been pushing a more closed face in the takeaway and backswing so I find most videos that are put out by the mainstream teaching sector will focus on this same thing to try and make their point. You can clearly see the face is WAY open to the yellow line drawn here.

caught that as well. clearly he can square it up on the down with aplomb. i can find no real quirks or faults with his swing, like most the greats.

Way too analytical by the commentator
