J ❤❤by. The way I sure you song with your girls was soo good. Ryan you can tell Tim that I had a stroke too and a heart attack the following year. I am 77 years old and listen to Gaither all the time. Good luck to you and family
In sin I wandered, talents I squandered I did not heed (my brother) Him whom I need (I needed) Then Jesus found me from sin and bound me Now I'm telling the world about His love (His wondrous love) Chorus: I love to sing about our (sing about our) King (wonderful King) And make His praises (make His praises) gladly ring (gladly to ring) He gave His life (gave His own life) on Calvary's tree (Calvary's tree) That we from sin (that we from sin) might be made free (might be made free) I'm happy to say (I am glad to say) I'm on the right way (I am on the way) That leads from night (leading from dark night) to perfect day (unto perfect day) 'Tis joy to know (only I know) this friend above (Jesus above) That's why I'm telling the world about His love (His wondrous love) Yonder in glory, we'll tell the story Oh Christ our Lord (my brother), trusting His word (I'm trusting) With saints and sages, through endless ages We will tell the whole world about His love (His wondrous love) Repeat Chorus (x2) 'Tis joy to know (only I know) this friend above (Jesus above) That's why I'm telling the world about His love (His wondrous love)
Thank you for including music like the Stamp Quartet used to sing. I took my mother to hear them. Loved their music as well as all of you guys are great.
Good group wish they could tour fbc Dorchester tx always cheers me up with I could get in a quartet play piano know the songs:) listen all the time ernie the best
Roy now is playing piano for Ryan Seaton's recently formed quartet called Union Street Quartet, with Toby Hitchcock singing tenor, Andrew Goldman as Baritone and Aaron McCune as bass singer ! Hope I helped
I am 60 years old, but I still have to comment that each of these guys is cuter than the last; a group put together by the Holy Spirit. I cannot see how anyone can listen to their music and be depressed at the same time, just not possible!
Roy hit the nail on the head, this is why Ryan and Roy are no longer with EH&SSQ "cause it's Ernie's quartet and we gotta do everything Ernie says, wear the suits and the wild hair", then calls him colonel, as in Col. Tom Parker (Elvis's manager)"
Why yes, it IS Ernie’s group; hence the name of the group! LOLOL ... Did you not get the joke? And the Colonel refers to the suit (as in Sanders). Missed this joke, too, I think. Often personnel in singing groups changes because of family responsibilities, health, too much time on the road, pressure of constantly being on ... there are myriad reasons, other than what you named. Your comment does sound a wee bit snarky.
Others may not agree with you...but I do. Ego has damaged, and even ruined, many a Gospel Group, and other things, in this life. Roy was right. He told the truth. I really don't remember when he left the group, but maybe he was just tired of things. Why in the world did they mess up their hair, and go around, looking like they'd never learned how to tie a tie properly? What was up with that messed-up look? I don't remember any other groups in Gospel Music doing that.
Is the pianist still around?iv’e noticed a different pianist that plays with them now This is the line up I remember and personally think made the best sound
I think that, after awhile, even he wanted to be as far away from Ernie Haase as he could get! Who can blame him? What was Ernie even thinking, at this point in his career? Those insipid ties and horrible hairstyles were embarrassing! You wouldn't catch me going out in public, looking like that, that's for sure!!!
@ronaldshank7589 as usual you're mistaken. The reason Roy left was because he had to take care of his dad who had health issues and decided it would be better to go into real estate. Make sure you get your facts right.
