A little bit about us:
Ernesto and Christina met on catholicmatch.com and got engaged 6 months later. Ernesto moved from sunny L.A. to join Christina and her daughter Alyssa in Denver Colorado. They became a family on April 26th, 2008. As Alyssa got ready for college, Ernie & Christina started saving for a house and planning for the future. The way any young couple would. Alyssa moved to Arizona and for awhile everything seemed on track. Then on Christmas day 2010 after midnight mass Christina found a lump in her right breast. She knew right away it was cancer. She was so young (36 at the time) the doctors were not so sure. It was cancer. Triple Negative breast cancer to be exact. She tried ALTERNATIVE treatments for 11 months only to have to tumor return twice and ultimately had to submit to conventional treatments. She did chemo, radiation & surgery. Unfortunately after all that the cancer returned in the summer of 2013. The story doesn't end there though! In the middle of all that Ernie & Christina had a surprise baby. In April of 2013 Christina found out she was seven months pregnant. She had no idea! All the side effects she was having her doctor said was b/c of the cancer treatments. Christina delivered a very healthy miracle baby girl on May 5th 2013. Despite all of the toxic drugs she was exposed to she is fine. Very healthy. Baby Ava has brought light to a dark situation. We hope you will draw inspiration from our story and how we choose to live life to the fullest despite a terminal cancer diagnoses!

Christina I don't know if you remember but I was watching your update videos and was so looking forward to seeing the daily vlog s! it really is groundbreaking what you all are doing ,showing how an everyday family copes with and support each other in the face of a life threatening illness.Each person's perspective in the family is worthwhile and helps us learn what a husband daughter ,baby daughter,mother and grandmother must experience

Ernie....my beloved mother is BC stage 2a patient ...she was diagnosed a year ago in May 13, 2013.....since that very day till this second...never one day I pass without being nervous, anxious, worried.....I am with you Ernie....and God is with all of us too....Positivity I am sending to all of you is endless...:D

Hang in there. Even the days where "nothing" is going on, something is going on. When you look back at this time you'll see it. But for now it feels weird. Love you all. Xo

I love your Vlogs....I don't have allot of people in my life that understand cancer and seeing your family lets me know what my family is going through is ok....Thank you for sharing and showing me that it is ok.....life is hard but we deal with the hand GOD has given us....thank you...

I can see Alyssa's point. Hope Ernie is good to go, and all labs come back good, he's such a busy guy, I can totally see why he didn't want to be bothered by the appt. he'll be happy he went though. Today's Thursday, hope vaccine day goes well!!! Have a great day family.

Ernesto, you have been forced to experience crisis intervention and management for so freakin' long that it has to be extremely difficult to relax and even think that things will be wonderfully less stressful or even moderately manageable! High stress is definitely overwhelming and crippling long-term, and you have all been so strong for so long, that I can appreciate how upsetting things can continue to be for you.....especially as a result of the random 'screw ups' like someone making the mistake with the vials for your blood tests! Great to hear your lipid profile is good; were your triglycerides a bit elevated? Tim has also had a few tests where his blood glucose levels were borderline for type 2 diabetes, but he has hereditary high cholesterol which has to be managed with diet and medication, and a tendency to have high triglycerides (which can also contribute to the development of diabetes). These results followed a time when we hadn't been as mindful of our daily diets as we should have been, but when we chose to eat better (more complex carbs, less simple starches, more fiber, portioned lean protein, and vegetables, plus low fat dairy, and cutting out the frequent 'cheats') and he took off a bit of weight, he was able to lower, and stabilize his blood glucose levels,and he has successfully avoided the diagnosis. It is do-able, because usually the recommended form of management is initially a change in diet, and activity level. If that is what you have to do, you will too, so try not to worry too much about it, until ,or if you have to actually deal with that, okay?! seems like the ladies are trying to want to stop the vlogging. I got one am praying that as you start to feel better you will have renewed energy to continue. admittedly for my own selfish want to see your daily vlogs but also because I think it's easy to lose perspective and I don't think anyone ever looks back and says dang I think I recorded too much of my baby growing up! Your catching every mile stone and how she grows by leaps and bounds every day! also even without terminal illness all of us will find ourselves without some loved one some day as I just experienced and there is nothing more comforting than seeing them walk talk and just really get to see and know who they are. your children will cherish every single second! I wish I had more memories of my mom and she is alive and healthy but who can remember much from 5-10 yrs ago? Not to mention what your doing for women with tnbc! your giving women a real life look at the day to day and of this amazing new vaccine and instead of reading it in black and white they can see in live colour real life and that is more comforting and amazing for women than I think you realize. You think your not doing much but you have something to offer most you tubers don't. your one of a kind insite is so precious and valuable. I for one will sorely miss every one of you if you stop. If you do decide it's best for your family I hope you walk away knowing how many people will remain loving and paying for you all! ok mush over :p

whew...for a minute I thought you stopped vlogging. I pray you don't stop because I pray your channel grows and grows and maybe Ernie can then leave his job and take care of you. I've seen it happen to youtubers that vlog their daily lives. They are able to do YT full time ...I know it's a lot of work because I vlog but I pray you'll all pull together and continue because you may just get that break. I tell people all the time about your story and your vlogs and if everyone that watches would tell one other person your viewers could double and if we all could spread the word your channel could grow and who knows what may come of it. I pray for a miracle for your lives no matter which form it comes in. Anyways, you get what I'm saying. I love how in touch with the reality of your situation you all are. You're realizing that God is in control of your situation and life is what is and does what it does...Praying praying praying for you all to have strength to be able to endure what life is throwing at you right now ....everything changes. XOXO

If ernie quits his job and God forbid. Christina passes, that leaves Ernie unemployed with a small child to support!!!! Need to be more realistic Ernie is a good provider and has the insurance that covers the costs of treatment or a least most of them???? You never know what YT is going to do. I wouldn't want to place my income in there hands.

But it's not just RU-vid...sometimes sponsors will pick people up to do things for them if the individual has a big enough following. You never know what life will bring from day to day. How do we know the law firm wouldn't go under. That's why it's so important to trust God with our future ...because He's the only one that knows what it is going to bring into our lives. I believe with God ALL things are possible and this is not me trying to push my beliefs upon you. Just respectfully expressing them. Have a great day!

imfreetobeme8 If you believe in God then you have to believe God has ernie where he belongs. God may want us to leave well enough alone. We certainly would not want give advice if we believe in Gods will.

Is your employer working with you so you can get time off here and there? We all know how busy you are, and I hope they realize it, too. I have never had Greek food, but it looks like Israeli food. I guess its all Mediterranean. I go through times like that with vlogging, but you have to realize that you sitting around the house thinking its "boring," but people who watch you feel like were there with you, so it's not boring. It is a lot easier to vlog and a lot less time to edit when you make 10 minute videos, and it takes a lot of pressure off, too. I had about 2 months where I made 10 minute videos until I felt better mentally and emotionally. You feel bad, Christina, but you look great. It is most likely that dehydration. The strawberry smoothie sounds yummy. I know you can't see it now, because you feel bad, but I see a big change. Thank you for sharing all you do.

I was thinking, god wouldn't have blessed you with Ava in the middle of this cancer mess if you were meant to leave this earth. I truly believe this vaccine will work!
