I'm not gonna lie, I was literally screaming "nooooo..why'd she open the box" and was waiting for something horrible to permanently affect her. I was so happy when that did not happen.

I was chuckling when thanatos is just standing and watching them kiss

Before the tasks, Psyche was actually tortured and whipped, plus she was pregnant through all of that.

The typical mother in law -daughter in law conflicts and helpless son/husband..... Its like regular indian serials..😂

Sure she was pretty and that's why Eros fell in love with her but you are forgetting the fact that her beauty caused her so many troubles! Also it was her dedication to win Eros back and go through any trial that made others pity her and help her

Psyche is literally that person we know who never follows instructions and always lands in trouble.

Aphrodite was obviously trying to o end Psyche as part of her vindictiveness. But what about Psyche’s butterfly 🦋 wings she got in the end.

I love that when Psyche is willing to jump off the tower in order to get to the underworld--the tower actually is the one giving her the advice. I mean, everyone else was helping her, Zeus with his eagle, Eros with the ants, so why not a tower?

What many people don't understand is that all the punishments of Aphrodite worked as a way to test the power of love in a mortal, and this story teaches us how powerfully divine love can be to the point that bestows divinity (as seen by the fact that psyche became a Goddess) Also a fun fact: Psyche means Soul and this story is about the fact that love and soul together create a strong bonding. Hence the word Soul mates.

These were two beautiful episodes; lovely art, music and voices. I like how Psyche and her sisters and father have Classical Greek facial features. Aphrodite's looks seem inspired by Botticelli's painting of the birth of Venus. These two episodes made me wonder if the Eros and Psyche story was the inspiration for the famous Norwegian folktale East of the Sun and West of the Moon.

Eros have already forgiven Psyche even right before the first mission. He just didn't wanna risk with his mom's anger ,lol (Psyche could be killed for that. ). It was why Eros secretly helped Psyche along the way.

This is my favorite story from greek mythology because: 1. It's a love story, and 2. No one is cheating on anybody

Well as a Greek, I should point out the meaning of the story, which is to teach youngsters that Eros on itself, if it's not for the soul (psyche) is incomplete. And for this, to happen, courage, trust, forgiveness and patience are required between the couple. Also it is to teach that true beauty comes from the soul and you need to see with the eyes of the soul to fall in love. Also in the original myth Eros fell in love with her without the arrow. He genuinely loved her kind heart along with beautiful looks. A rare combination.
