A lot of these guys played in a different local band in Birmingham, and used to open for my old band SVDM all the time, and I never understood why. They (obviously) always had something creative and special. We just spammed Breakdowns. Glad to see they're on their way.
The cleans are actually barely edited from what I've seen. Saw them live with For All I Am, hit every note. I didn't even know who they were at that point, and they amazed me. Great show.
Honestly the clean vocalist fascinates me. Unusually high tenor, he busts out alto Fs like nobody's business! What an awesome fucking band, every element comes together perfectly.
i've always heard a little Misery Signals in your material. its what drew me in in the first place. the way everything is put together is so impressive. best material so far guys, the album is going to be biblical.
9 years later but just wanted to add for anyone reading, Misery Signals is one of Alan’s greatest inspirations, and he was the one who wrote a lot of the key parts of this album.
@@MrPatrickbuit Not just Alan, but the whole band. Jesse has even said that they "wanted a band that sounded like Misery Signals" in one interview or another. Some of the original members aren't there anymore, but ERRA is still a team.
@@microsoftpain Erra shed all their Missigs inspirations after Alan left (and they’ve been producing consistently worse music ever since.) I doubt that’s a coincidence, especially when you consider that Alan still produces Missigs inspired music to this day.
@@microsoftpain Also the reason I said Alan is because he did a Reddit AMA a few years ago where he said his biggest inspirations are Missigs and Hopesfall.
I felt the same way when i first started listening to these guys about a month ago, but i loved their guitar work soo much that i tuned out the clean vocals for a little while, then they grew on me, now they dont bother me anymore, this band has some immense fucking talent!
Nah, I played an F on an instrument and the pitch matched. Perfect pitch is a rare and special thing that it's safe to say I don't have! The best I can do is just pitch things relative to an external source like a piano or tuner, which most musicians can do. I forget if he actually hits any of dem Fs in this song but he definitely does in White Noise and Heart.
