A lovely man was Errol. He used to live in Townley Road, East Dulwich. A pro style in the amateurs but I think was half done by the time he turned pro The turn out for his funeral spoke volumes RIP Errol

Remember he had a little brother Simon Christie Triumph ABC saw him box Georgie Collins Pinewood Starr at national schoolboy finals at Derby Assembly rooms 1982. I was also in those finals

I think Errol caught Joey Frost at the time a little Past his peak Joey was older seen it done it 1980 Olympics Moscow a bit burnt out by time they met and Errol just turned senior But with the Guinness book of records 4 national schoolboy titles, 2 National Junior ABA titles, Class A and Class B and 3 NABC titles Class A B C, won a gold at World junior championships and as you saw Senior ABA national title boxed for young England Multiple times and Full England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 it’s the Guinness book of records it will never be done again what can you say great boxer well done errol RIP so sad

When the ABAs was the real deal 1970s- 80s absolutely brilliant times them days aren’t coming back. Best fight was at Gloucester all England semis Joey Frost v Christie if you thought this was a good fight well thought wrong Frost and Christie got the freedom off Gloucestershire mayor said it’s best ever fight he’d seen
