Hello. Just had the same problem. I took of the battery and hold down the Power button for 20 sec. Then afterwards it worked. Still came up with 163-time & date not set, but did continue to boot after. Have heard this procedure is taking of some accumulated voltage inside laptop so it can not boot.. TRY IT !!
Do in BIOS all settings DEVISE CONFIGURATION disabled, especially the dual core function, boot from a pre-installed system on your hard drive and set the correct date and time...
I did on my HP NC6200 this Set cerrent time in windows restart windows press F10 go in Bioas -> Securrity go Device security desable everythink press F10 go back to File go Save changes and exit F10 restart
Friends, I have an old NotBook 6710b and I need to activate the Biometria Authen Tec inc ASE2501. It is installed and appears to be correct, but I am not able to activate it! I need the Authen Tec inc ASE2501 Biometrics Softwear for it to work. How can I download it? I already downloaded the What is in the HP Driver link. Does anyone have it or know where I can find it? Thank you all for all your help. Thanks.
