dude this was the colourway that was always pictured in a Malaysian skate mag, Revolution Magazine and I was always dreaming of getting this on feet. i totally agree with you, love these more than the black gumsole pair too!

@@tjgotkicks89that be dope, seems they come out with colors and then when they sell out, do new colors. Literally been thinking about the Koston 1 in this color for a few years so funny that when I’m getting back into skating and looking for it, it appears. Was a big ES fan boy back in the 90s.

@@TravisVarga that's dope man... love hearing about the coincidence just happens right when you're just getting reacquainted with skating. they really need to start dropping more OG stuff from the early 2000s catalogue imo just to keep the OG dudes locked in to the brand

My gripe with this shoe is the outsole is too different from the original same with the reissue they did of the k2 recently. Look at the Creager which I have and it's 1 to 1 to the original shoe

agreed, i felt that they could only half ass this reissue to avoid any legal issues with koston but they could've at least re-engineered the outsole to have the EK01-like outsole to keep it as true to form as possible. after two koston retros, im wondering how they'll go about the Koston 3 or if they'll just keep pushing the marketing of the eS Evant

For some reason the tongue on my navy pair is extremely flat so I don’t wear them much but these look better I think. Did you grab any of the schemes when they dropped?

yeah agreed, my black gum pair also felt like they had a slightly flatter tongue when pulling them outta the box, but i guess its the white on the tongue with the grey strip that make it pop and look puffed (idk maybe that's just me lol). I wish I did but pre-orders were not available in Malaysia at the time and the only pairs available were from Singapore. Did you manage to get any of the retro schemes when they dropped Leigh?

@@tjgotkicks89 I didn’t get any of the schemes at the time, I caught the wave a little too late unfortunately. But I saw they might be doing another colourway soon which I’ll definitely go for. I also missed all of the tribos. We are pretty spoiled for choice here in Australia but I think that makes me lazy with pulling the trigger sooner when I should.

@@leighkavan5992 i agreed with you entirely, when the navy lynxs were released in store i kept waiting for them to go on a mid year sale but ended up striking out despite the multiple sizes. definitely looking forward to the new colour of the es schemes and hope you manage to catch those when they release!!
