NO CORDS. NO GAS. NO LIMITS.
Unleash the power of the Renegade. ESAB Renegade VOLT ES 200i is a portable, cordless battery power, Stick (SMAW) and Live TIG (GTAW) welder with the versatility to operate in battery, mains, or AMP+ Hybrid mode.
This cordless welder runs on 6 Ah, 9 Ah, and 12 Ah DEWALT FLEXVOLT batteries. Renegade VOLT provides the power to burn up to 33 (E6013) electrodes on a single charge using four 12 Ah batteries, that are included in the package.*
Renegade VOLT is a highly portable and powerful unit perfect for mobile welders operating in remote, offsite, or hard-to-reach locations without easy access to AC mains power.
In AMP+ Hybrid Mode, Renegade VOLT supplements AC mains power with battery power to prevent nuisance trips on smaller breaker sizes (e.g., 10A, 16A) or to provide more output when welding on 120V input.
Renegade VOLT features a rugged industrial design with durable, impact-resistant housing and multiple lift points for easy operation and transport in the field. The bright, intuitive color-screen user interface is designed for outdoor use, even in direct sunlight, and features a battery status display and remaining arc time calculator.
This powerful welder offers the highest arc quality with special features that include hot start, arc force, memory storage, and cellulosic mode (6010) to optimize performance based on application or user preference.
Features
200A output on AC mains (230V)
Up to 140A output on battery power
Includes (4) DeWalt FlexVolt 20V/60V max 12 Ah batteries
AMP+ hybrid mode for extra power
Lightweight and portable battery powered welder
Durable, impact-resistant housing
Sun-friendly, intuitive user interface

This unit looks to be the answer I’ve been waiting for. Next pay cheque is getting me one of these things. As a mobile HD mechanic this thing would be perfects. I ain’t got the room or pay load capacity to support a full blown welder generator plus I can take this inside at some locations if need be. I should be able to complete most minor repairs in under 10-15 minutes of welding time + I’m already on the dewalt system. No more will I have to call in another guy to come do it or remove the parts to take back to shop to perform the repairs my self there. This Things a blessing. Thank you for your demonstration

I'd change my pay cheque for the AccuPocket machine instead. As for me, that Esab is far less energy efficient but it can compensate that by using the standard DeWalt replaceable batteries which could benefit in some cases.

I can't wait to see where this technology will be in ten years! With SSBatteries these welder will be an absolute game changer!

This is a very interesting prospect given all my power tools are on the DeWalt cordless system. I see for the batteries alone at Amazon that is a $1,000 outlay, and for the charger at least $200. For stick welding intermittently or at remote locations this is an attractive proposition. I also like that it can be run off standard 120 and 220V hookups. Tempting!!!

I am looking for something like this for someone who had ap heart attack and now has a defibrillator and pace maker. It is important he keeps electromagnetic radiation to an absolute minimum otherwise it may trigger his defib and coukd be fatal. Also he could lose his drivers license if the defib goes off should he survive. I've read DC has much less electromagnetic radiation. This would be DC because all batteries are DC.

It’s a cool machine but for 3500 not necessarily a great battery life you mind as well get a Hobart or miller 220 for the same price

Great video, but are you seriously directly breathing all them welding fumes? The test that you did had you huffing and puffing metal smoke, i cant imagine how much you breath during regular work

Petty, fan uses a fraction of power compared to welding.
@vladshmit
@vladshmit 6 месяцев назад
@@joshgorham750 the fan is there for something, is there for taking the heat away from the components that convert precious energy into what? Right! Into the heat and not the welding current

There is the Fronius AccuPocket but we agree this is different but still both are battery-powered.

Does the battery box detach if you're only using wall power? Lift-TIG only?
@BakersGas
@BakersGas 10 месяцев назад
Yes you can plug into 110 or 220 power and only use the top part

Can you run 15ah flexvolts in this if you jus leave the battery lid open? They are basically just longer and lid wouldnt close

Renegade VOLT provides the power to burn up to 33 (E6013) electrodes on a single charge using four 12 Ah batteries, that are included in the package. Really depends on what you are doing 33 electrodes is a lot of welding. Plus keep in mind you could have spare set of batteries for pretty reasonable price to swap out.
