I've been watching it since 1970 (! - yes I am that old) and since the mixed system of public votes and juries was introduced I've always been right with my predictions. And this year again I was not only right in my prediction for the winner, but the Top 12 (!). I also was right, that those songs being hyped by many "ESC-aficionados" (Serbia, Cyprus, Norway, Azerbaijan) won't make it into the Top 10 (I received quite a lot of hatemails for that). Måneskin are well deserved and worthy winners and Italy can be proud of them. Since Italy returned to the ESC in 2011 they always delivered: Mahmood, Francesco Gabbani, Il Volo, Ermal Melo & Fabrizio Moro, Marco Mengoni, Raphael Gualazzi - what a variety of genres but all of very high quality and songs that made it on my personal "Eurovision All Time Best Playlist". I wished we had something like San Remo Festival in Germany too. See You next year in Rome, Milan or any other of many beautiful places in Italy.

It was obvious from the beginning, that Damiano and Victoria were more comfortable in English. But we still want to give all four of them equal opportunities to say something if they want, we just won't force anything on them :)

i think it’s very cute that vic and damiano helps thomas and ethan when their taking in english, it’s very cute!

In the italian interviews they are much more talkative, I'll link an italian interview I found w english subtitles that they are very talkative in :)

We did try to get them to talk, but if they're not comfortable in English we're happy that Damiano and Victoria are quite talkative 😊

@@fell4316 not everyone can do that. Hes too polite and of course he wants to speak but the other two just wont leave space.

I feel like he's an introvert. Because I'm also like that and it's a very introvert thing to do to not want to interrupt anyone. Meanwhile others are happy to interrupt you (even thought they mean no harm) so you end up wanting to say something but never get a change to say it and before you know it others have moved on to another subject to talk about.

Now he does speak a lot more amd you can see that he starts to open up a little more

He was just a bit afraid to say something wrong, because his English isn't very well. But nothing was wrong with him :)

he said first ‘he asks why i don’t talk much right?’ then he said ‘how do you say that, to not make a fool of myself’ my italian is not great so don’t come at me if it isn’t perfect haha ❤️

Måneskin translate to moonlight. Also the Danish song they where singing mean "Dancing in moonlight" is from Danish ESC selection in 1987 (Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 1987) and some people outside Denmark properly know the original singer Trine Dyrholm as a actress.

We did in the televote, but not the juryvote. At least we tried to stir up a hype :)

@@hannakin12 It's called "Far til fire" (Father of four). An old Danish movie series from the 50's and 60's that are classics in Denmark now, so Victoria might have seen them as a child and has fond memories of them :)

Actually i prefer to be mistaken than being right. Vanity and arrogance are only dangerous charachteristics. And with all this fame its good for all of them to have this in mind, for the wellbeing of themselves and their band!
