Great episode. Though I do perhaps prefer your analyses of the greater Ghibli works it was still very entertaining and informative to hear you guys taking a more critical look at a film.

Thanks, glad you like the cast! I think we also prefer when we can be gushing non-stop about a movie but alas not all movies are made the same.

I actually really enjoyed The Cat Returns, although I did feel a little uncomfortable with little agency given to the main female protagonist. At the same time, I did quite like the Baron and the traditional role he played. I would also like to ask if I could appear on your episode discussing The Tale of the Princess Kaguya (unless you've already recorded it), as it is one of my favorite Ghibli movies and I have some theories pertaining to the film. I will ask this question in Discord as well just in case you don't see it here. Thank you for your consideration of my inquiry, Mariok.
