Mark, I'm very excited to listen to this series. Many years ago as a Teenager, we regularly attended a Church which had a weekly potluck where Missionaries and other interesting speakers from all over the world spoke regularly. The Pastor was one of those people who somehow knew people all over the world. One night Toivi Blatt spoke, and it really made an impression on me. I also bought and read one of his books about the escape. Thanks for reviewing this little known but important chapter of WWII history.

Presented with such perfection, it’s as if you’re inventing a story yourself to tell. Tragically, this was true to life. Thank you for your work, and I hope this keeps alive the memory of these people, and serves as a warning to what man can become if allowed to swear fealty to a demagogue

An incredible story, it’s kind of a shame more of the Camp doesn’t exist for future generations to see.

There is also another interesting escape story, from Auschwitz, polish scout Kazimierz Piechowski escaped in the camp commander car. I think it is also worth your narration, sources are available. There is a song made about this event, and description holds some more details. See 'Commanders car' by Katy Carr

I've seen a film about this which was very moving and inspiring in a way. My goodness, imagine the bravery of those people!! Imagine how it must have felt to finally fight back against the animals who had been their captors and tormentors.

The Kommandant was a fool to go into a room full of enemies alone. Any reasonably diligent campguard would’ve ended Mr. Sasha with a single shot to the forehead.

What a serious insight this channel is. I mean stories like this bring the madness in prespective. Today were aproching the madness again. Its said 2 generations is what it takes to forget the lessons of the past. Here we are

Terrible, frighful, horrifying might be more suitable descriptions. Imagine the horrible lives these prisoners had to endure and their desperation running across a minefield, under fire, to attempt to wrest back their freedom.

#MarkFelton, like always, excellent content and I don't mean this subject in particular, but in general. You, sir, never disappoint and give us in-depth commentary and info or history that is not easy for a lot of people to recall or remember or want to acknowledge. Hence, 'Those that don't learn from history, are doomed to repeat it'.
