Escape Simulator is a co-op game in which you and your friends work together to solve a series of puzzles and escape a locked room. Will Andy, Jane and Mike have the puzzle smarts to make it out of the old timey Brain Checkup room alive? Or will they be decapitated by gruesome Saw-style traps, which is we assume what happens if you run out of time? There is but one way to find out.

To be fair a friend insisted on striping down a mannequin which was holding a "please do not strip the mannequin" because the sign jut HAS to be a clue, right ?! (it wan't, the GM told us on speaker)

@@simtbotw I've had people take back the finished clues and other useless items because "they must mean something" otherwise I wouldn't have taken them. It was to help them concentrate.

Especially since she had already solved them, but didn't have all of the books so couldn't get the code, and got bored and started smashing windows.

Well she did save all their lives and gave them extra time when the neurotoxin gas dispersed. It was Jane's breaking of the windows that lessened its immediately lethality since the room was now ventilated somewhat.

She did seem very proud of her escape angle. As doomed as it was. I am happy they got the chance to complete the room despite going overtime.

Ah, it's a murder mystery. The mystery is "How do we get to murder Mike?" Also I love how Jane had entirely figured out what to do with the Wells Books when she had two of them, but got so sidetracked and bored once Mike found the other two books that she just smashed windows for two minutes instead of opening the lock. So many jokes about the atention span of kids these days spring to mind ...

Oh! It seems this game allows us to play solo. I will finally realise my misanthropic dream of solving a escape room without people panicking, shouting and babbling incoherently until the countdown ends. ps: It is, though, quite entertaining to watch you folks panicking, shouting and babbling incoherently in a video. 😉

That’s nice to have a solo option and not have to partner up if we don’t want to. Sometimes I find two or more people fun in activities, sometimes it’s more frustrating than fun. Depends. Heck, I may have to do a solo one IRL. I really want to do an escape room but haven’t had any takers for partners so far.

I think that is genuinely a great idea. 🙂 I think someone else thought similar to you: at a escape room place in my city, they have a “Break Room”, set up for people to just smash things. When I called for info on escape rooms, an employee told me about it, also mentioning it was out of commission because someone BROKE the Break room, putting a hole in the wall! PS - Sorry if you already knew and were being cleverly ironic/sarcastic. I find it quite hard to tell with just words on a screen.

Wow! 😲 Apparently, one of the escape room places near me offers a “Break Room” besides the regular escape rooms where you have things set up for you to smash! I remember it because when I was talking with a worker on the phone to get info on the place and they told me someone had put a hole in the Break Room wall. I kind of found that detail unexpectedly amusing (not meaning to be insensitive for the people dealing with that, though).
