Even after I grew up, this song always kept this distinct place in my heart and mind, there's always been something about these lyrics paired with this instrumental that really hit me and I still can't get over that feeling
Are you into falling in reverse I personally only resonate with their third album somewhat but not to the extent as I resonate to dying is your latest fashion. third album by fir still really good
This song used to always be the background music for Halo: Reach with one of my good friends. Rip to those days of smokin weed and playing all night...
I can't believe how after a decade almost all songs from "Dying is your lastest fashion" still resonates with me... That album was really one of a kind ! It's sad that we never had a proper second attempt from the original members, ETF and FIR have both their qualities, but the alchemy from this debut is missing in both...
I see a lot of people in the comments talking about listening to these guys when they were kids, wishing they could go back Well, I'm still a teenager. So glad I get to grow up with this, and have awesome nostalgia when I'm older
So in english we are writing a review, and i decided to use the topic of Ronnie leaving ETF and how maybe it was good for him, simply because of how much more successful he has gotten
jonathan mera Yeah this song has kind of an emotional rhythm to it the guitar at the beginning and opening lyrics make me emotional I could use this as a tribute song
SAME. the original etf is my fave ever. and it's so ironically sad how their entire first album was like a foreseeing of the story of the band itself which had comes afterwards.... ronnie's sad story and same with the rest of the band, esp max.. cauz yeh they were best frndz n stuffff (u probz know this but im just expressing my thouughthshshzhsbxnx) yee
Niky9965 but compared... then and now.. i'll always hope that there will other things like 'dying is ...." , " this war is ours" had some nice stuff but nothing compared with the first, and also ronnies new project started nice and now its just pop / rap music i mean wtf... man i need more music like "my apocalypse" ..
***** that's sad :( Craigs still making some ok songs. I hope they recover. Itll suck to see them fade to ruins like other good bands do. it may be necessary, but sad :(
I don’t think I’ll ever stop liking this song even though I don’t really listen to this genre of music anymore I find myself coming back from time or to time it Just hits different 💜
This song resonates with me so much, because before I even heard it, I actually had a dream about what he's singing about in the song. There really was a man with an ax standing in rain, surrounded by fire and pine trees. Later in that same dream there were satellites falling down and crashing just like when he says "the satellites are down" and to make it stranger in a dream I had the next night or something I had a dream about being at concert with a guy performing who looked a lot like Ronnie. And in the song he says "there's a place that I can see, this place lies within the depths of my dreams." All of this before I ever started listening to Escape the Fate.
I miss this so much. 7th-8th grade were the glory years and that was 2009-2011 for me. This is the true Ronnie Radke. Just wish he could of got clean and straightened up and stayed like this with ETF.
This song, is just.. Amazing. I have no other words.. To be honest, I think Ronnie's best work was with Escape The Fate.. I mean, I like some of Falling In Reverse's music, as I'm a huge fan of the band. But, nothing compares to his Escape The Fate days.. They were amazing. Even though he was high on drugs, he still made amazing music.. Although I didn't get to see it live, while he was in Escape The Fate, or while he was on the Bury The Hatchet tour..
Lol! I found myself randomly playing the guitar solo today which was the only reason that I remember this song. And seeing this comment was just an hour ago is pretty funny, haha.
Only just found out that Ronnie was the vocalist of escape the fate before his prison sentence and becoming the vocalist of falling in reverse and omg... how I never noticed before amazed me
Anyone else think this should have been called "the guillotine" and "the guillotine" should have been called "my apocalypse"? I think the song titles must have been mixed up
