i saw him play this album...all but this one song live about two years ago for the first time and probably the last. this was the only song on the entire album for some reason they didn't play. some of my best memories are attached to this song.
This story was written by Ronnie and it’s halfway about a car wreck and halfway about the tell tale heart by Edgar Allen Poe. Ronnie was very well read and smart.
I am surprised today at 31, not realizing at the time that Ronnie wrote his lyrics and was very authentic to his music and writing. He seems deep and with substance now 😊 God bless him and you as well in Jesus name❤
I was 11 when this came out. I remember listening to fragments of it through the stair floor boards when Petunia wasn't home and Dudley cranked the radio
Actually a lot of albums compare, here is my list: Rust in peace - megadeth Arise - Sepultura Powerslave - Iron Maiden Every death album The blackening - machine head Ride the lightning - Metallica And many more are better than this
I was in high school during these golden ages of emo. The first time I heard ETF was on Myspace mid 2006. And by random "fate" I found their EP at my local music shop on Halloween 06. I was blown away and it is still one of my favorite
I am now in my 30s and will still never stop listening to the Ronnie era ETF. I really didn't care much for the material with Craig, and I just recently started realizing I was short selling Falling in Reverse a bit after they put out the Reinvented versions of a few songs.. Ronnie is a legend in my book.
Same with all the "drama" with Ronnie I didn't give FIR a fair chance but drug in me reimagined changed my gotta hold of me and had to go listen to more
He had a plan to kill you all along The evidence was hidden in this song I was a ghost, I was there at the scene As the embers rise my hands Smelled like gasoline So, the head lights murdered my thoughts I curse this taste that's on my tongue This taste will last until I rip it out No, I won't need these gloves Her bones are withered away But her ghost will remain You're the only one that wore your seatbelt We're the only ones that cried Catastrophic accidents You're the only one that died So keep my casket closed Your heart beats under the floor It haunts me in my dreams And nothing's as it seems Hallelujah So just believe in me I'll never let you down This was a curse I can say As you lie in your grave You're the only one that wore your seatbelt We're the only ones that cried Catastrophic accidents You're the only one that died So keep my casket closed Your heart beats under the floor It haunts me in my dreams And nothing's as it seems (But her ghost will remain as you lie in your grave) (But her ghost will remain as you lie in your grave) All the choices you've made And the paths that I take You're the only one that died The evidence was hidden in this song All the choices you've made And the paths that I take We're the only ones that cried Irrelevant I knew it all along All the choices you've made And the paths that I take (It was never enough, it was never enough it was never enough now was it) So keep my casket closed Your heart beats under the floor It haunts me in my dreams But nothing's as it seems [x3]
I totally get you, I'm 18 so I was 7-8-9 when emo was popular, and I guess everyone who's nostalgic about this song is a couple years older than me and were teenagers 10 years ago, and it really sucks to feel you're 10 years late. I'm at college now, and no one's emo. When I was at school, there was like 1 guy who was emo other than me, and he's not emo anymore. There's relatively very few of us left nowadays :c
I will forever regard "When I Go Out, I Want To Go Out On A Chariot of Fire" as one of Ronnie's most impressive songs. His vocals on this track are fucking flawless! 🔥
I had set this as my alarm when I was 18, latest year at high school :) As I hear the first seconds I remember of me waking up... The only song I used to hear completely at my awakening without quittin it
Ronnie you are the best ever lived I wish that I could meet you I have been listening to your music since I was five in 2005 your music has been just absolutely awesome and I wish you were still in escape the fate but that shit went down and you came back with falling in reverse thank you for all the album's and the best music ever to be written and sang.
I remember when I bought this CD..... I named the title to my friend he said...."thats kinda Gay"....now he still lives at home, has 4 kids and begs for my attention fuckin constantly calling me.
I first heard this album when I was around 15 I am 26 and I predominantly listen to hip hop now so I must say.... this album is sh--------amazing... still slaps...10/10
@@reversethefate8388 you're a fool if you sum up hip hop as autotune garbage. I could literally base rock music off any bad artist. Nickelback and Imagine Dragons for instance. All rock is is overblown over produced boring guitar riffs and horrible singers.
@@reversethefate8388 no clue how you turned my innocent post into a grand standing musicical argument but congrats brother 👏 keep on headbanging to that premium 80's rock and keep regressing artistically while hip hop dominates the charts and the culture we're in today. I can only hope to god that my mindset stays open and I can listen along to music with my kid in the future and not get butt hurt like you clearly are. Well, this was fun 😀.
Original Escape the fate was something else man such a big shame they couldn't release another album 😪, I know today's eacape the fate hire song writers they should ask ronnie to write there songs again lol
I get sad cause I wish so much that I could’ve been born earlier to have been able to listen to this when it came out and experience the feelings, but I had to be born in 2003 :(
Anyone else get the feeling that whoever this was wrote for was the inspiration for Cellar door? Tjey have eerily similar feels as far as the emotiona the music invokes.
Fun Fact: When Ronnie join Falling In Reverse he made one of his album covers to resemble the album he did with ETF dont believe me go see the similarities ;)
All time favorite. I was 16, grinding out fletching on Runescape back around 2007 playing this song on repeat. I listened to it over and over for hours. If you know you know lol
