We're joined by @Alexis Outdoors and @Backcountry Angling Ontario for a winter hot tent trip to Northeastern Ontario's Path Lakes region. We spend the 3 shortest days of the year camping out on a gorgeous frozen lake, exploring nearby ridges and unwinding by the fire with friends.
Video is vlog style. Trip was December 2019 (Yes, I take forever to edit stuff, I know).

This trip report made me realize something I have never really noticed about winter trips. No matter the time of year, whether backpackpacking or canoe-camping, breaking camp and packing up to go home is always bittersweet; a mixture of satisfaction at the end of a trip, the desire to stay out longer, mingled with looking forward to being home again, but I have noticed that when winter camping, especially when hot-tenting, the desire to prolong the trip is always so much more strongly felt in me, compared to camping at other times of year. There's just something more gratifying about experiencing that sort of self-sufficiency in the winter woods.. Glad you all got together and enjoyed. Cheers to you all, - Martin

You always nail it and this was A++. We enjoyed this video so much and it was surprisingly nostalgic. This was one of the most fun trips we've done and it went by in the blink of an eye; video felt the same. I've been vlogging for coming up on four years and watching ETB religiously for double that, so watching this was a trip. First of many we hope. Though if the next one pans out it may not be so fun 😆

Thanks a bunch guys!! :) Agreed, this was a blast. Lot's of great memories from this trip. I had completely forgotten about our all at once vlogger camera mayhem too, hah. Editing it up had me wishing there was a repeat in 2020. We'll look to the future for some more trips and fun., though that should bring plenty of type two fun I'm thinking :D

I stumbled on Lost Lakes 3 Canadian couples and wanted to see Alexis Outdoors and your version, but I kept looking for Brad Jennings around December 2019 - never got there. Im still not sure how I found your Jan 2021 vlog but I’m so glad I did. I had no idea what you guys were doing or where you were. Thank goodness for your version. Happy to see snowflyer Grizz and Jon & Erin, and Alexis Outdoors’s hot stove. I like the kind with side wings. Nice to meet Leah. Thanks for your “style” & commentary.

This was awesome to watch! I've already seen the other versions of this on the other channels but yours has a more unique feel to it. I especially like the interview/show style format you did in parts. Looks like you all had a fantastic time, the favourite part of any trip for me. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. Its nice that I can watch the same trip from each person there an they're all different. My phone said I only watched half this video but I watched the whole thing. What the hell is that! I hope they aren't stealing your money.

Negatory. Jon and Careena have had their vids up for a year though. I'm just slow to edit. My version is fresh off the edit room floor. Each persons vid brings something different.
