Thanks for the video. Did you guys park at the end of Prairie Bee Rd.? I can't find any info whether you can park there while on a trip. Otherwise I guess it's the train in and out.
Brad looks more like a grunge band drummer then a canoeist. I guess youtube has me thinking you gotta be 250lb red head with a bad temper or a 6'4 bean pole with a sweet hat to be a conoeist. The coolest thing about sports is all walks of life join in the fun. In my jiu-jitsu days i would roll with a millionaire and high-school kid all in one night. I suppose this is no different. Love the video dude i will definitely be watching all your vids. Cheers from The Foothills of Alberta
Like a lot of multiple part videos, it is hard to find the sequence of the videos. Usually you meet with .... i went back to channel page. I think you skipped one of the group.... maybe I looked down. I first saw you on Lost Lakes. Never forget the hair. Great job by all.
At 9:13 I was on that team! We saw the camera man and I didn’t ever think we would see that footage. Thanks for posting the video. Sadly we didn’t finish but maybe we will see you in 2024!
Jaw dropping trip Brad and Leah! Can't thank you enough for your work and sharing it with us. A fantastic journey and one you will always remember no doubt💜, BRAVO!
What a fantastic video! So much dedication and tripping mileage logged to find over 800 sites - that's just stunning!! Thank you so much to all involved. What a wonderful idea!
Congratulations on a brilliant documentary Brad, it captures the challenges and emotions the teams experienced, and filming a big race like Wilderness Traverse is almost as difficult as racing. It's very well done and explains to viewers what our wonderful sport of adventure racing is all about.
First reaction to "supersize me": man that's dumb. Double take: wait, they have fries (sodium, potassium), and high carb and high fat calorie dense food... It might be brilliant. Potato chips are a highly effective electrolyte and calorie replacement, I feel sick without them on endurance challenges. So why not!
They took all my favorite adventure sports and put them in one race! Thanks for sharing this! I LOVE that they send the bikes on rough ATV trails, that's my kind of riding, I can't stand grinding endless flat gavel, it's so boring.
Thanks! I was set to race with Adrian here, but I damaged some cartilage in my ankle during a bike crash just a few weeks before. It's such an incredible event. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to push themselves through some breathtaking wilderness!
Absolutely love this! I'm a Group Of Seven admirer and was thinking that would be a bucket list item before I couldn't do it physically... to find those places that inspired creativity. TFS!
Loved this video. I've known about Jim and Sue's hobby since I came across their book a few years ago, but great to see this captured. I'm sure they'd have the makings for a fantastic Instagram account too!
In all honesty, one of the most moving RU-vid videos I have seen … ever. God bless both of them for reliving the adventure, and you for documenting it. Wow!
from Brenda and Daniel Malstrom. Congratulations on a great video and your artistic Canadiana pursuit throughout our great land. A great tribute to the group of 7.
We were excited and honoured to meet you on those days. I knew exactly who you were and so great to see your family with you. That day and both lakes are etched in my mind forever and we have incredible longing to return asap.
