You can tell from Lyndons facial expressions just how disgusted he is by some of McKays stories of the church. What a "blessing" that his intuition and brain served him right since a small child. I worked at a place where we hired a lot of young men/boys from these communities. They were ran off by the old men because they were seen as competition by the old men who wanted to keep the girls for themselves. Ppl wonder why women like “bad boys” and it’s not necessarily that we want a man who’s a criminal. What describes it perfectly is when Mckay said “And no one wants to be the only person in a room of 7000 to stand up and say I disagree” and then Lyndon said “I do.” That’s the spirit we mean when we say bad boy. Someone with conviction and confidence who is willing to go against the grain regardless of the consequences.

I don't know a huge amount about the FLDS either, but as I understand it the men work and give everything to the church. So much gleaned from you Lyndon and you McKay - primarily, what well-rounded, funny, wise, fearless, humble & proud (well-deserved pride) you both are. I'd say you truly made lemonade, from the lemons in your lives. It warms my heart that you're back together and building a solid, respectful and satisfying life, as beautiful individuals but also as a family. I wish McKay had been able to talk more. He would start to say something interesting and then shortly get interrupted. If he ever does a one-on-one interview, I'd definitely be interest! but overall very unique perspective from both of them, and I was grateful to hear more of what the male side of things was like. Thanks for sharing, to all involved. Wishing them both the best.

Both of them are brave young heroes if you ask me. I especially liked Lyndon’s candor. He is the definition of leadership. I’ve always seen myself as someone who would be able to see through bs and not buy everything someone is selling, even as a young kids. To me that’s a gift. I wish them both a happy and safe life from here on.

I wanted to say how brave these two guys are. It's incredible to see how strong Laydon is, when he tells his story you can see how big his heart is. Absolutely brilliant human being and the way he played the system is so funny, very smart! Glad McKay has such an amazing big brother to look up to. It's difficult though, to see how being shunned by your falily can affect a person no matter how old, and how especially Laydon lays behind his cool demeanor to hide his pain. I hope both find love and all the blessings they deserve. Absolutely incredible stories!!! The world needs more brave, sane men like this. Love you, God bless you!! 🤍🤍

Bless you, Lyndon and McKay. Thank you for sharing your story with us. No mother in her right mind would shun, isolate, reject, deny, or castigate her children. These cult moms are intrinsically insecure, without safe grounding -- and are able to fall under the spell of those more powerful. They sacrifice their own free will and intellect, and become like automatons without true identity or sense. I hope you can find peace and truly forgive your mother. I wish you both every good thing, and that you never forget that you are loved, that you are inherently worthy, that your lives have great meaning, and that you belong to no man, but only to God.

I have so much respect for 17 year old Lyndon and the kindness and respect he had for his young wife. I think we often hear horror stories of the men in the FLDS being horrible to the women but these boys grow up being taught this stuff.. so to see someone turn it around and actually respect their partners need to learn and grow outside of their norm? I have a lot of respect for that. Thank you both for sharing your stories. ❤

Lyndon and McKay were EXTRAORDINARY -- exactly what I think this channel should be all about, life on the dark side. Both, especially Lyndon, were tremendous storytellers. The story about T-Rex/AIDS (I won't spoil it for you) was hilarious, but it also told me so much about the unimaginable shit that people in this cult have to deal with. Thanks, and best wishes, fellas.
