In this video I will be escaping the cave dweller and the warden in the Ancient City of Minecraft, the mod used in this video was made by Gargin.
Hi guys. I'm Idk Someguy on Minecraft. Or formerly known as Wake. I create funny Minecraft videos; beside that, I story tell and use a lot of sound effects and visuals to enhance the viewer experience. My Minecraft idea collection is very grand. I have many ideas that relate to other RU-vidrs, such as Forgelabs, mcyum, Rekrap. Occasionally, I might also do videos that include more meme content. I'm currently creating Cinematic thriller content for Minecraft, its done in a very cinematic way.

One thing a lot of people haven't realized is that optifine breaks the animations... and those add a ton to the vibe of the dweller. I wonder if you could do one with dynamic lights and total/true darkness? it has a similar if not better effect (it's what I use lol). This was fun to watch! Those are just my ideas :D

It seems like the dweller's animations were broken at the beginning. He supposed to have a crouch and crawl animation.

The shaders break it, It's a known bug. But without the shaders it's not as intense.

@@idk_someguyhuh. Didn't know that, thanks for telling me! I wonder what causes the strange interaction. Shaders normally influence light physics and other visual aspects. Do you think the shaders make some modifications to animations that causes the mod react in such a way? Prob a question for mod makers/coders, just speculating rn.

@@playerunknown6932 My theory is that the developer of the shaders mod had problems with the animations of the kinecraft mobs so the coders made a script that supports the animation from the software the minecarft dev used to make the animation for their mobs but gargin might have used another software to make the animation for the cave dweller so most of the time the animations doesn't always work

sometimes it's also because geckolib wasn't installed, some cave dweller add-ons require geckolib so the animations load.

My videos process on high bitrate (50) so this video alone was the size of 9gb. Unedited would be way too long but I'm planning to do challenges live and uploading those VODs :)))

@@normified I record at a decent bitrate. I render at a high bitrate. Meaning the quality I record from the game, 1080p. Is gonna be the same quality on RU-vid. But this will drastically increase the file size to like 9gb

This concept is very nice, the good thing is that the vines (forgot the name) kind of warn you about the Cave Dweller, so it's not always a suprise when he shows up. The bad sides are that he can trigger a Warden appearing and the fact they are best friends is really threatening.

I like this almost "hunger games" kind of challenge, where you have to accomplish a certain task while trapped within the city, with dangerous creatures lurking about. Its really cool.

try the sculk infection mod next time! its incompatible with the cave dweller (because its fabric 1.19.3) but it's equally as terrifying!

Just so you know, shriekers and wardens can't hear anything related with wool. They can't hear woo, breaking or being placed. You can also run on wool without activating any sensors. The best way to destroy shriekers and sensors is to surround them in wool blocks so other shriekers won't hear a thing when you destroy them.

A few tips for the warden: 1. Sculk and shrieker are most quickly broken with hoes, hence why you find so many diamong hoes. 2. Wool mutes your sound. Breaking, placing and walking on wool does not trigger the sculk, even when not sneaking.

13:20 You don't need diamond or netherite to break obsidian and crying obsidian, it is to obtain the block. It just takes longer with an iron pickaxe. According to the wiki, it takes 41 seconds to break obsidian with an iron pickaxe, but only 9.4 seconds with a diamond pickaxe. A gold pickaxe takes around 20 seconds to break obsidian, which means it is the best option if you are looking for a cheap tool.

IIrc, the wool should midigate footsteps, so you can sprint on it without pissing off the warden.

This is scary and i like that. Also some tips i can give you are wools dont make any noise so you can freely jump, sprint or place them without attracting any noise. Wools can also be used to block noise from passing through. Very useful when you want to open chests or destroy any skulk sensors. Make sure to surround it with wool

if u have wool and night vision potions this would be kinda chill tbh like you would always see the cave dweller and the whole ancient city. if u cover the shriekers with wool u dont even need to worry about the warden :,)

Quick tip: Warden and skulk sensors cant hear you if you sprint or walk on wool. Also you can destroy shreikers with diamond hoe almost instantly.

You don't need a diamond pickaxe to break obsidian, you need one to get it as an item. But destryoing one so you can replace it with something else it works with all pickaxes. But it will just take a long time to detroy a block. But this Video gave me now a phobia of ancient cities and the cave dweller, and I kind of like it. I will have nightmares now, but I don't care. You survived one scene just barely which even I can't survive and most of the people can't.

Cave dweller will never scare me more than the warden, when you hear him coming from the ground it makes me afraid and than I'm stuck while hear heart beats not knowing how close or far he is. I'm in a shroud of darkness not know my surroundings not knowing how to escape. When the cave dweller allows you to see and its as easy as block up a tunnel or building up a few blocks. The cave dweller could never strike fear into me like the warden can.

Honesty if the Cave Dweller and Warden fought they’d be like brothers. Fighting for a bit, but have a common enemy. Like the Warden is the slow but insanely strong big brother and the Cave Dweller is the energetic but weak young brother.

Fun fact of the cave dweller (it will help a lot) it’s like an enderman but you can look at it but not very long it has a 10 second stare timer for you if you look away from it, it will moving an disappear only 1 dweller can exist
