Escort quests have always been a treat to do. A treat that is trying to end you that is. The NPCs you have to escort are usually very special. They will jump into combat like lunatics, pull lots of mobs and batter you with silly monologues. This video puts all of these things in a nutshell for you to enjoy and potentially give you some PTSD.

We all want them to run faster, but if they'd run at our running speed and they'd get ahead of us we'd never be able to catch up to them.

The best part is when you run ahead on these missions to try to kill mobs ahead of time but they continue to walk past you, yet if someone 50 yards away from you attacks a mob, that somehow triggers their aggro.

If this was a real escort mission... the npc would have reset when he ran back to his path at lightning speed, before you could even react and run back into range after killing the first hostile mob.

I literally tried to do this quest 2 days ago. He moves so slow and everything respawns so damn fast that you kill a group and he walks right through the camp and the spawn back on top of him. And then you get shat on cause heals has no mana.

THIS QUEST dude. Waited in the tower for like 30 minutes in a group of five and when he spawns, one of the group members leaves the group and gets to him before any of us. After that I just abandoned the whole idea of the quest lol
