I usually use my belt to choke the small game out or bludgeon them with the buckle side. Wire could work as an improvised belt ;)

Agreed. And even if you do know how to make and use snares they're usually pretty low percentage. Most of the time you need to put out ten or twelve of them to have a realistic chance of catching something in any given day. But I do think wire is very useful, mostly for repairs and for building things. For example it's nice to lash a tripod to use over a fire; no chance of it melting or burning like cordage or a zip tie might.

I might do that at some point. Seems everybody takes a crack at one these days lol.
