ESHAM is a legend. I read this about his first album "All tracks were written, produced and performed by Esham while still a sophomore at Osborne High School on Detroit's east side." Boomin Words From Hell was release in 1989 when he was 16 years old. Go listen to that and keep in mind he was 16 years old. Legend.

E-shom like E-mom and his career started in 1988 first album dropped 1989 and if you really want to know him you got to listen to 1990 through 97 esham at his prime. he single-handedly created the Acid Rap genre which influenced artists like Twiztid ICP and early versions of Eminem's water down acid rap.

Esham from Detroit like ICP & Twiztid, but he has many styles, on his albums he gives u a taste of rap, R&B and rock all in one, he does need more recognition he is highly talented and produces and writes his own songs. The underground calls him the godfather of the Wicked shit, even Eminem gave props to Esham on on his songs. Esham's Gotham City cd was my favorite.

Esham and ICP have been on and off friends/beefing since 89-90. Like many other comments here explained, Esham was a godfather of Horrorcore/Acid Rap, whatever you wanna call it. He started toning that down a bit in '95 with the Dead Flowers LP. I consider his peak to be from '92-'96 (the albums: Kkkill the Fetus, Closed Casket, Dead Flowers, Bruce Wayne Gothom City... all albums I would give a 10, each highlighting a different strength.). He put out a few decent albums after that, but from around 2010 (whenever Sacrificial Lambs, Suspended Animation albums were released) his stuff was not good at all in my opinion, noisy, no flow to speak of, etc... Scribble (his latest, the album Black sheep is from) is quite a return to form for him, but still my favorite Esham is from the mid 90s.

He does what people call horrorcore, he calls his shit acid rap, I call it the wicked shit . He is a wicked shit rapper but like the vast majority of horror rappers he has many styles. From radio hip hop to gangsta rap to almost full metal rock. Anything that is creative, different and fresh.

It's wicked shit. Esham (East Side Hoes And Money) is the godfather of the wicked shit, but he considers himself acid rap. Trust me he been around since like 85... Reel Life Productions. Natas is his partner, and went to jail for a while so Esham went to Psychopathic Records and put RLP on pause for a few years. He's a legend in the hip hop Community though. He's done stuff with Tupac, Dayton Family, Three 6 Mafia, Bone Thugs and Harmony, and other big names. This is one to do some research on. A lot of people who don't even know who ICP know who esham is.

Esham inspired Slim Shady and ICP. ICP started Psychopathic Records and brought up Twiztid, and other independent artists. Eventually, Psychopathic Records signed Esham as well. Early Esham was more classic horrorcore like KKKill the Fetus, and as often happens, with age comes temperance, and neither Esham, ICP, or Eminem really have a strong horrorcore sound.
