Oh i think ur mistaken.... When learning arnis/kali/eskrima actually before they teach u the strikes they first condition ur body for the proper technique.. one of the system of kali is tempering the grips and the hardening the femural and brachials.... It ia not shown in the vids and also modern kali is so moderate the real tempering is the master will hit u while u are practicing ur strike on the tree.. the grip strength of a conditioned Eskrimador is like of a conditioned judo practitioner
I have trained in serrada escrima for years. It's all about muscle memory. You must do it thousand times so it becomes just a reaction without thinking. We have practiced the right hand strike thousand of times and how to counter it.
This man knows his stuff...I was always taught that when you grapple, the whole point is to disable to you opponent by breaking his arm, or dislocating a joint.
From my experiance in working as a bouncer i can tell you that wrist lock or arm manipulation will not be that effective on someone who resist. It's best to soften him up first before iniating any of those moves. Speed, suprised and violent of action is the Key to Survival in real fight .
They're all the same but different systems, kali, arnis, escrima are the same, kali is the oldest word for it escrima came from the spaniard, and arnis became the permanent name, if im wrong please correct me.
Those moves look complex in slow motion. It would take years to be able to actually pull that off against an attacker and even then the odds of one pulling it off would be slim.
I have taken escrima for 15 years and it's all about muscle memory like in a martial arts. You just react to the attack and defeat it with any technique that you have practiced thousands of times through the years. My professor always say just react no thinking. I have been surprised by friends trying to test me but they quickly learned that it was a bad idea.
Very impressive, useful technique I. Street fighting. I guarantee this since I have used this move suddenly and non telegraphically more than 50 times so far and successfully. I can never miss to use this if the need be. Thanks. It is not useful against taller opponent as per my own personal experience.
I really liked the first technique and the third until about halfway through, a lot of this is just not possible without a cooperative partner. Try this in a swarm drill and your screwed.
@@Chimera936 in the Army we did swarm drills with four to six. There’s still an order to it obviously but they get you in a rhythm doing take downs, upper body submissions and ground submissions and then they change it up. Everything has to be simple to make quick transitions from opponent to opponent.
If a man is ferociously and violently swinging at you-multiple times per second-and you can not only anticipate those shots and expertly parry them with your palms (!) but also catch the other fighter’s hand in mid-flight (!!) and perform a lock without being struck, you are a better man than me, sir!
Wonder why there isn’t fight between this martial arts with the others ngl It’s too complicated lul assumed too much stuff it’s like those ppl only think but not fight at all
Good luck applying these techniques in a real combat situation. Everything happens so fast and you won't have time to do all this. Better to slip the punches and find an opening to strike. After you've struck and stunned your opponent you can apply some sort of technique to bring him down to the ground.
@@ecilatnecniv this is not similar xD Police learn how to heandle the thugs , but they cant really fight. Police members , have a Little better power and they can take your arm and push it behind your back . but this is Film fighting xD have someone ever hit you in the face ? The punch is so quick that you cant always block the punch. and there is a tiny chance to grab the incoming hand . i hope you understand what i wrote to you , i know my english is bad , but i think you can understand it
@@CastleOfAvalon that's why i'm asking you where are you from... are you from manila? ohh yes, of course without the punching 'coz suspects almost always didn't dare to do anything stupid.. if you are from manila you are familiar how the police handles the suspects.. if you're not then don't argue...
