Looks like an interesting bike, and some of the features for price are actually pretty impressive. A lot of the gripes with mechanical brakes are actually due to the cables, more specifically the cable housing. Spiral wound cable housing is okay for caliper brakes, but it's amazing how often I see it used for disk brakes. If you have cable-operated disc brakes and you don't like the performance, check the housing. If it's spiral wound, replace it with some zero compression, or compressionless housing, and you may be surprised at how much better those brakes operate.
Act the speed limiter immediately. That's what I'd be thinking to Jack. 20 miles per hour? That just destroyed it for me. I agree with the hydraulic brakes very rare mechanicals pretty Much everywhere although I guess it is just a bike. Hydraulic would be nice though.
