I feel so sorry for Esma, everyone blames her for ruining this but look at her, she's so thrilled to be on the stage and she's enjoying herself. Its so cruel to put things like 'Like for Lozano dislike for Esma' and when she cuddled into Lozano at the end it made me feel so sad that everyone is blaming her like that :(
well I know it is cruel but I think it is true, I mean no disrespect and I also think people it's been too harsh but with more candid and less agressive words, I agree with the popular feeling.
Not only she DIDN'T ruin the performance, but this chorus sung by her is the main reason I love this entry for! ❤ If there was no such a chorus, the song would have been absolutely nothing special.
Six years on and I am still coming back to this song. Lozano’s voice is a work of art, Esma was such a character! I loved it, they deserved better at Eurovision
From Colombia 🇨🇴 i wanna say to F.Y.R Macedonia 🇲🇰 thanks, this is a really good mix between pop sounds and ethnical tradition, and Lozano also have a greay voice is so handsome too 🙈 I'm enjoy each part of this!
Just heard Esma had passed away, so sad. I was a student in Malmö in 2013 and had a chance to meet and take a photo with Esma and Lozano. Great people.
Esma’s voice, as if rising from the morning horizon, gradually releases cascades of vocal splendour which intensify to a peaking crescendo. Beautiful combination of voices for a touching, memorable song!
What did people see in the Russian grannies the year before that they didn't see in Esma? I for one think this is better than Party For Everybody, and Lozano is outstanding.
Unfortunately Eurovision hates every entry that actually represents country it was sent by. It's such a shame this was second last in semifinal, because in some way this is Macedonia. Esma is a legend, Lozano has amazing voice and this song is different and good. It's maybe not what you can listen to every day but it definitely deserved better result.
+Danny Northman this song is so Macedonian !!! Trust me, I was born and raised there !!! You must be living in that part of Macedonia that was stolen be the Greeks!!!
Although I'm greek, I think that this song perfectly represents its country. Lozano's voice is beautiful, strong and very powerful and I hope I'll see him in the next ESC. Esma also has a nice voice.. she did a very good job because she symbolize her country and their traditional songs. We all are balkans so enjoy our music and our traditions. LOVE YOU GREECE!
This song brought tears to my eyes because she is dead. I saw her in a concert in Madrid some years ago, along with other Gypsies from India, Maharaja and Fanfare Ciocarlia from Romania. It was AMAZING!
Well done Lozano, one of the best voices I've ever heard. Esma RIP. This song deserved to be in the final. As i speak Russian, I can understand most of the slavic part of the song... Greetings from Greece!
Amazing song, beautiful language, i love. Its a shame they didnt get better rank. In my opinion Vlatko one of the best singer in Macedonia (for me Tose Proeski was the greatest singer ever). Anyway always pleasure see singers who sing by heart, and even Esma wasnt on the top here, she is extraordinary also. Greetings from Hungary :)
Respect to a queen, a legend of gipsy music, Esma Redzepova! I hope she was here with us... but unfortunately, she's gone :(( R.I.P Esma Redzepova 8 of August 1943-11 of December 2016 :(((
Anyone criticizing Esma.... Start to enjoy music outside the mainstream. Esma was a legend. Queen of gypsy and i love her parts. She was an angel and i hope she rests in peace. She was too good for eurovison. I love you Esma forever
Philipp19967 Cudna e kombinacijata, mladiot Lozano na pocetok na kariera, a Esma povozrasna so odamna popularna . Kombinacija narodno - zabavno. Respekt za dvajcata, ama kombinacijata ne odgovara.
I can’t be the only one who loves this. I feel like Esma makes the song- she elevated it from sad ballad to a unique quirky song!! Sounds like she was the sweetest woman- heck she fostered many (47 I think?) kids when they had nowhere to go! Also.... RIP queen
I read some horrible comments and all I can say da se nosite u tri lepe materine! this was a masterpiece of modern and gypsy music, Esma was a star in former Yugoslavia, a precious voice and a legacy of gypsy songs
The Queen of Gypsies and i mean it with utmost respect. She was The Mother, she adopted and raised over 100 kids. Sadly none of them are keeping her memory as good as its suppose to be. But us, the people will never forget her. She is sorely missed
This song and performance is underrated. Balkan countries never send bad songs to Eurovision. Love you Macedonia from Turkiye 🇹🇷❤️🇲🇰. I love all balkan countries but Macedonia and Bosnia Herzegovina are my favourites in Balkans.
One of the best performances from Macedonia. Yes, Esma's voice didn't sound that clearly but she was very opened and I love this performance anyway. Big love from Russia Rest In Peace, Esma, we love you❤️
I really like this song, it breaks my heart people were nasty to that nice lady singing. She seems so warm, and kind. Like a grandmother who's there for you when your sick or the neighbor lady who always a kind word to say.
Everytime I check the video of a Macedonian entry I have to endure these eternal discussion with the Greeks. My god, get over it! Don't you ever get tired of this matter??? GET A LIFE!!!
Razzelass tired of protecting the most important part of our identity???? Surely, you cannot be serious! Yet, she was a great artist, may she Rest In Peace.
This is our identity so this is our life. For example they changed their name to North Macedonia after a referendum but they don't keep their promises and want everyone to call them Macedonia.
I was like, I didn't quite understand this when I watched the performance back then. I liked Lozano's part, which is quite melodic and emotional. But as I've been recently researching about Macedonian music and especially its Romani influence, I think I understand it better. Now that I watch it again, when Esma came on the stage and started to sing against the cocek beat, somehow tears came up to my eyes. Lozano also sang in a style close to her Romani part at the end of his second verse (a bit different from the studio version). Macedonia presented this wonderful piece to Europe back in 2013, but unfortunately people didn't appreciate it well!
