Not a bad velidreth explaination, but the add explanation is a little off. Only the atro spawn and the banishment phases are based on her HP. The remaining add spawns occur every time she grabs a player to consume their ult (timer based). The particular player consumed affects two parts of this fight based on the maximum resource pool of the victim. High health = heal debuff and health drain orbs + s&b add, high stamina = stam drain orbs + NB add, high magicka = magicka drain orbs + fear mage add. Velidreth typically consumes the target with the most ultimate, so you can control which orbs you must contend with by controlling ult levels in the group.

I know this was posted three years ago, but I'm relatively new to ESO and this video saved our asses. Failed miserably with a PUG (on NORMAL), watched this video, and was able to not only understand the mechanics but properly explain to another inexperienced PUG later on what to do very easily. I'm relatively new to the game/dungeons. The first dungeons i completed included some max level/very high level players and i thought to myself "this is easy". Then i did this dungeon with no high level players and man, we had a ROUGH time. After wiping a bunch of times, everyone quit and then thankfully some high level guys joined & joined chat/helped me through the mechanics
Everytime I PUG this dungeon I'll be making the rest of my group watch this video before even starting. This dungeon is simply horrible for people who haven't run it before. 14 minutes of video watching up front will save a half hour's worth of wipes.

pretty nice and clean explanation. I beated the vet one, but hardmode seems to be a hell with all those spore. What do you suggest a tank should do on that fight? lure veildreth to keep her away from group? or lure adds for dps efficiency trough aoe?
I actually think drawing the adds into Velidreth is a HORRIBLE idea for the tank. The dps kinda NEED the agro in order to focus them. The problem is that Velidreth has such a huge hitbox that targeting becomes an issue. As long as your dps know to focus the adds, let them have them, the entire ordeal goes much smoother if you pull Velidreth away, your instincts are correct!

At the time of this video, silver bolts and either morph did NOT provide a chain effect. This change came later, but yes, now you can utilize this ability on any class!
