Back when I played the game, I achieved emperorship with the help of my clan. Stayed up for nearly two days straight (I was on thanksgiving break during middle school). It was a massive time sink and it would’ve been impossible without that strange group of strangers who decided the help a kid get the crown.
Just thought I'd share my recently Emperor attempt experience. I tried during the start of MYM in the 7 Day Evergloam campaign and got to as close as 4th place with the number 3 and 1 guy willing to abdicate once they get it however the problem was the number 2 guy did not want to abdicate and he was 1 million AP above myself and the number 3 guy therefore it was very disappointing finding that out after staying up till 4am for a week straight just doing the no-life thing. I was extremely burnt out by the end of the first week but then I thought ok lets try again, one last time, when the campaign resets and 2nd week of MYM begins. So as that day approached I entered Quagmire (7 Days No CP) campaign and started farming for 2 days and night doing that no-life thing again and my back and neck being soooo sore from sitting long hours, I noticed the score board was bugged but I was trying to stay positive and was hoping that my points gained over the first 2 days of campaign reset (around 800K) will be counted and displayed on the score boards when it becomes functional again, disappointingly when the score board was fixed none of the my points accumulated while it was bugged were counted. I woke up this morning hoping that it may be added on later but no it was not, still I was the 2nd player in line for Emperor with the 1st play being only 60k points ahead. I thought to myself I either have to beat his score and trying to push for Emperor or try to locate him and ask if he will abdicate so I can have a turn. I typed "LFG" and luckily enough he was starting his Emperor run right at that moment and I helped him along with his guild mates, he then abdicated after he got it and then came back to help me towards half way of my run. We had to fight off a few AD people who were trying to block my Emperor run just because they were mean but man about 5-6 hours later I finally got it and I am so extremely grateful for the people that has helped me because none of it would be possible without their help. Amongst the people that helped me two of them are currently 2nd and 3rd, when I abdicate soon they will become 1st and 2nd and I intend to help them on their run too. For some people they seem to get it quite quickly on a good run however it took me a lot of grinding and being on my knees a lot fixing walls and doors but I still think I am luckier than some other who had even more obstacles than I did. Anyways, its one of those achievements that does take a lot of energy and time but once you get it I don't think you can ever forget the efforts and people that had helped you along the way, it really does feel more like a team effort in the end and they deserve the title just as much as I do. I encourage everyone in the community to help each other and be civil, the only way we can get there is to work together! Thank you Jake for the amazing content!
One thing on Ravenwatch is that it doesn't take a lot of help to get the title. I managed to get to the top of the leaderboard fairly early in the campaign, then asked my PVP guild if anyone wanted to help a newb do an emp run. It was early hours (I work evening shifts, so I mainly play in the early hours) and I only got a couple people to help out. That was all I needed to make it work. Off hours on a less busy campaign just to get the achievement. I don't have the time to grind for days, so this is what worked for me. Edit: Remember to properly thank those that help you. I ended up sending the 2 people that helped me that night 5 perfect roe in the mail the next day for their time. They didn't have to help me, so I wanted to reward their kindness. Since I like fishing, it was a small thing I could do just as a token of appreciation. Not only is it a nice thing to do, but people will be more inclined to remember you in future.
I love it when you post every day!! Each night when I settle in and turn my game on it’s nice to go to RU-vid and see a new video!! Thank you for posting!
Easiest way get a group of 6 to 10 players, craft some low level gear and grind for a day or 2 max during whitestrakes mayhem in one of the under 50 campaigns. I helped 20 plus people emp in 3 days last whitestrakes.
Back when I played it like almost 5 years ago it took 3 days of no sleep to get emperor with no clan no help from friends and a crap ton of politics because there was a ton of negotiations to be made among the top 5 people on the board about who would become next emperor and would the people in 2nd and 3rd place back off long enough for the person in first to grab it and than would the person in first place drop out and allow another side to win it so that we could take it back and get the next person in line their title. So glad I never plan to do that again. Only downside is I’m now on PlayStation and the accounts don’t transfer consoles so unless I buy an Xbox that former emperor is dead
I came to a peace with that that I'll never be an Emperor in ESO. The amount of time required is a no no for me. I can manage playing 2h a day, which by itself is not that bad, but I can't really afford to take a week off to grind AP for the Empereor title.
Do it on vacation This was the position I was in aswell But one week 3 years in the game I was sick off work and played with the idea and actually managed to pull it off And yes days 3 to 4 hours sleep each day unfortunately the rest of hours grinding ap It was horrible
@@Bozinian Sorry, I don't have a vacation to spare. Even if I had time off, I wouldn't manage it. I'm not living alone, you know. My wife's a sweetheart, but I wouldn't be able to explain her what I'm trying to do without looking like an idiot. =)
Wow!!! Had no idea this even existed. Definitely seems like something someone must be ready to dedicate some real time and effort to. Maybe one they this 60+ year old foggie will make an attempt. Right now life would not allow it. Thanks for enlightening me. Appreciate you. 👊
Is that the outfit we wear when we fight Molag Bal? I was wondering how to get that. I just finished the main story after playing for 18 months and maybe I'll start spending more time in Cyrodiil cause this is a whole other game by the looks of it.
So my question is. Can you save up the AP through battlegrounds or does the ap only count if you earn it in Cyrodiil? Also, when will you get on the leaderboard? Let’s say I have 3mil ap and the guy on top of the Board have 2,8. When will my ap count as the top?
@@Official_JakeClips Would be useful. Exactly why I looked for a vid. I am not a noob at ESO, just dont really PVP, so need some overall advice of what to do if I am gonna go for emp, combat plans, priority locations. Of course stick with the zerg is a solid advice, but ideally solo squishing stragglers is where the AP gain is really at. Last time I did PVP was midyear mayhem 2017 iirc. There was no bridges or volendrun then. I dont even know how these mechanics work tbh, not looked into them. I am strictly PVE as well as I have taken years off the game between. PVP is a means to an ends for me, achievements, emp and grand overlord being the biggest one.
Try to be emp on greyhost ! Thats not under50, you need to have no job playing all day, you need to have a big fanclub following you and have friends on others alliance *boosting* you... if you are alone and do your best you will never be emp
@no one i dont blame them tho its too much work to really build and grind AP to even earn that title its one of the hardest titles to earn in game i rather grind than buy its tough af after a few attempts
