Yep, without zone quests I probably would have dropped the game already. It would be like only playing any call of duty multiplayer, which I drop in less than a month. To be fair zone quests are nice the first time you're doing them, maybe the second time, then I just blast through them with my other characters while waiting in the pledge queue or out of boredom.
it's interesting how many questers there are in game...once you get to end game status you lose interest in all of that and just want to run vet raids or pvp
It would be nice if I were capable of doing all the ESO content . . . but my cp500 character can only handle public dungeons with aid . . . so as much as I happen to love ESO some of it's content is simply out of reach. That's why story questing is so popular.... some of us will just never be able to compete in PvP regardless of cp . . .so on to the quests!
@@myisden2954 That's not true at all. Put max health on a warden with polar wind and a resto staff with 2 sets that buff either health or healing done, and your team will win way more than they lose.
@@myisden2954 cp500 is high enough you just need the right build for the job...the easiest is heavy attack sorc or book beam arcanist but there's other easy setup out there
I would do trials if they added it to the activity finder so I don't have to try and coordinate with a group. I prefer to never have to type anything or go to Discord.
I think the main storyline quest is a 'Should Do' if you want to have the base lore of the game. Plus you dont have to do it all at once. Also Mage guild n Fighter guild should be in Must Do for sure-
In a game as diverse in terms of what you can do and how you can play, it's quite difficult to actually have a "must do" category. All of these parts of content are very much dependent on your goals, what you enjoy, etc. I would say if you are going to put something in a "must do" category, it would be because it has the most universal benefits to the widest selection of people. With that in mind, I would say housing is likely to be the most obvious choice, because there are very few players who wouldn't see some benefit from it and I would follow that with crafting probably, then public dungeons. Whilst I have and use many armor sets from dungeons, etc. I wouldn't say they are necessary, certainly helpful for some content/builds, but that's only relevant if you play that content or use those builds. I can sometimes go weeks only doing writs, playing Tales of Tribute, doing Endeavors and Event stuff and a lot of the times only some of those things, while I wait for new content. Equally, there are people who are only interested in housing or fashion, etc. I realize my opinion will be skewed to some extent by the way I play and the game is obviously first and foremost about combat, but it has grown so far beyond that that people could have multiple things that draw them to the game now.
Veteran trials are gate-kept by end game players. I've completed all the normal trial multiple times. but I've been farming for 11 months to get all the items 'required' by my guilds in order to be allowed to do a single veteran trial with them. By the time I complete all the requirements, there will either be new requirements or the end game players will have quit ESO. It's super annoying. I have been playing ESO for 5 years, so don't like being excluded from this content.
I haven't found an MMO yet that isn't like this. It's unfortunate but I'll never be a "meta" gamer and I've come to accept that there is just some content that I'll never experience because of it.
I found this video incredibly helpful. I'm a very new player, less than 2 months in. My quest log is full of Zone quests and I find them very confusing. At least I know now, I can skip them if I want to 👍
@@naplzt4k yeah I made the mistake of thinking Quest givers were part of the quest I was on. I've maxed out my quest log and I don't know what I'm doing 🤣
The first Dungeon I did, everyone ran off while I was reading the Quest. By the time I caught up with everyone, they had already killed the boss. The Healer kindly waited for me but was "slow clapping" when I arrived 👏 Very funny! I love this game 😁
@@ScrumpyP lol yea most people want to get thru dungeons as fast as possible so you need to form a group willing tp go slow or join a guild that does. The main zone story quest will be marked as such in your quest list as will any guild or dungeon quest....everything else is just side quests
if you haven't done so you should join the guilds (mages, fighters, undaunted) as they have their own skill lines...the fighters guild is ranked up by killing daedric creatures so it happens naturally as you play
Vateshran arena must be on should do or must do. You know, the main reason why vVH specific builds are popular , that's because of pvpers who are eager to make meta setups. If you're pvper, it makes sence. But meta changes, so if if you found really op solo build, you must farm vVH until nerfs.
@@Official_JakeClips general but you can briefly speak on huge differences in a class such as what a mag sorc brings to a dungeon/trial vs what stamsorc brings. I think a lot of people will find there is variety with just the simple choice of stam/mag. Sure there is a hybrid meta but there are still differences in some places!
Good vid… alot of people expect me to score push solo arenas but i just didnt find it fun or rewarding or worth learning after the initial runs getting the gear. I totally would if they incentivized it tho. Or actually all the leaderboards for that matter
@@Honey_Badger_DC1 ya. I dont mind scorepushing group content bc its fun to me. Solo scorepushing just isnt for me. Either way. Theres literally zero rewards for either. (Weekly top 100 rewards is next to nothing and has nothing to do with scorepushing)
Undaunted pledges are off the table as are dungeons, arenas or trials. Given this why does the game continue to throw CP at me, I should not be anywhere near level 45 but I am a CP300+ and I am not able to complete anything beyond a delve without help. All I want is the game to stop telling me I'm better than I am because it's incredibly frustrating. While I love the game unless I figure out why the game is doing this, and not actually allowing me to get better, I am considering quitting, Can anyone explain why the game is telling me I'm better than I am. Thanks
@naplzt4k the reason I made the post is I had to Google the time-line. I know a ton of people would benefit from a video like this on the order and then we'd get some more bad dad-jokes from Jake 😆.
Something annoying is that a lot of the “rewards” you get for doing achievements in the game is the ability to buy certain cool house items. So if you care about housing, doing other content suddenly becomes more enticing, but if you don’t, you have much less reason to engage in certain activities like scrying.
I guess my take is different on this one. Trials/pvp/vetran/hardmode are all on the never do list. Just not twitchy enough, and don't have the lifespan left to be trying to learn 100 annoying boss mechanics. Not worth the bother.
PvP content is terrible if you have a high ping because of the reaction time disadvantage over the other players, usually getting hit with an attack before it is telegraphed. There are some workarouds like zerging, or randomly blocking and dodge rolling hoping this will be timed to avoid a combo. I have a high ping because of where I live, and I can't improve it unless I move to Europe or USA.
guys what is the easiest build to do veteran vateshran? I played oakensoul stam arcanist but died, then switched to pale order magicka arcanist and died even more. I dont know if it is skill issue, just looking for easiest way to do it first time
It's usually 3 to 4 quests before the first skill point, then they come more easily per quest, and finally you get 2 skill points at the end quickly, e.g a skill point for defeating the final boss and then a skill point for going to the celebration party. If you prioritise the zone quests, you also find a bunch of skyshards and complete some delves on the way.
@@jpwashere2868 some tanks still use defending warrior in cyro....vicious serpent is good for stam builds, PFG for mag, perf pillagers is good for group healer. I know a cro who uses boneyard synergy with alkosh to reduce everyones resistance by 6k which stacks with breach. I think I'm forgetting other stuff you can use but the point is you can be creative in pvp
I agree. Veteran Crag trials are easier than some of the Normal DLC trials, even Vet Aetherian Archive hardmode, is easier than Normal MoL 😂 Stocking up on my chromium grains before u40 hits
