Could have used more playing, tone demo, but I didn't need it since I have one, ha! But for everyone out there, it sounds really good plugged or unplugged. Instantly became one of my go-to acoustics. I have a few cheapos, Fender $300 mahogany, Epiphone Masterbilt, Washburn $350 ( sorry, who can remember model #s?) Anyways, for the $200 I paid for it, small crack at the binding where dropped, it is awesome with beautiful harmonics in the mid-high strings around the 5th and 7th frets. Some way expensive guitars don't ring there very well. Bridge is too high, coming down tonight, then we'll really get a better feel for it. Did I say it sounds great plugged in? Not world class but what would I know about that? seems like a bona-fide sleeper. I still haven't seen a new price anywhere. Good luck!
I own a esp Ltd x tone exotic. Mine is the padua wood. Excuse my spelling on the padua wood. This guitar has nice huge frets. It easy to get pinch harmonix, string bends, vibrato, sweeps and other techniques that are mostly used on electrics. I did replace the tuning gears with Grovers. My only complaint about the sound is padua wood does not project as well as other woods but i think the tone is nice. Plugged in it sounds very good. I would definitely get another X Tone but I will get a different tone wood that projects better unplugged. I would also replace the tuning gears. The X tones are realy nice playable guitars for the money.
hey, im actually gonna buy the ESP-LTD EW QA, because it is just amazing, is the sound different from this zebran one? and did you play unplugged in this video? because i need to sound great unplugged:) thanks
Ive never seen an acoustic esp guitar at any store before. And i really want one. I might have to settle with an epiphone because that seems to be my only option.
