I put a Tremol-no on mine. Fixed it right up. It allows me to lock the bridge. But I can also unlock it and use the whammy bar if I ever feel like doing it. That little accessory has been a game changer for me
@@FatsFalafel pretty awesome. The SD black winter pick-up is better than I expected. The setup was great. Some minor adjustments and a string swap made it my new favorite guitar. Only change I made is swapping out the machine tuning heads to the hipshot knobs. My only fear is wearing the matte finish to a smooth gloss with repetitive use. But as normal wear and tear goes...it adds character. I heavily recommend this guitar and definitely will continue to buy ESP
@@RotterStudios great question. Cause at first it wasn't an issue at all but over time the paint begins to gloss due to wear. After a long time of use you can feel that "stickyness"...scotch pad will fix it but in all honesty...I still pick this guitar up more than my others
@@thutsuribe7529 a satin neck will turn shiny with use yes but it can't turn glossy unless a coat of finish is applied over it. So it is most surely not gonna feel as sticky as a glossy neck. I have a satin finished EC-256, and while the neck got a little shinier over time for sure it still retains the overall smoothness. Non-painted necks aren't less sticky than painted ones (unless they're oil finished) cause most of them have a poly satin finish on them regardless.
@@Muchowski_B, The E-II M-I is fantastic. Easily worth the asking price. You know how you can just feel the quality in some guitars. That's the case with the E-II M-I. You can catch a pretty good deal on these used now and again. I got mine used from GC online.
Me too exactly, I love my M-I but this bridge, the black look and the passive pickup is a nice alternative to it. Plus the solderless EMG 81 in the M-I is a pain to swap for something passive.
one of the blackest guitars in the world obviously but apparently there are black frets out there and i guess darker wood but sometimes boards are painted though i'm not sure if white hardware really exists at all if they wanted to make the arctic metal series any paler
What u people think about to change this SD pup for Fishman or BareKnuckle? I dont know so much about this SD pick up ... those w some experiences hows that clarity and definition in lower tunnings. I heard the demo and stuff, but its always cool to hear different opinions from ppl.
I have this guitar and a Schecter with Fishman moderns. They are surprisingly similar. Searing upper mid and highs. I'd say the Duncans have MORE balls than the Fishmans. Get it and see what you think for yourself. I thought I'd want to change them immediately as well, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've had it for 6 months or so now and the BWs are still in it with no intention of swapping.

Mike Graham correct. James hetfields white cross has it I believe? I’m just saying if someone doesn’t like something try to remove it. Or tape it up lol Don’t lose out on a guitar you’d probably love because of something you may not look at much
I want one but I'll change the pickup to EMG 81 (if this guitar was built for one purpose, why not put in the pickup that's fully focused on that purpose but does it the best?). Then it will be a poor man's ESP/E-II M-1 NTB except that this one looks more awesome.
