@@thenovicenoisemaker well, received this guitar, sounds great through my old Fender mustang 2 amp. I feel the frets are too proud from the fretboard. Really feel them when sliding on strings and the en's feel too sharp. New definition to finger shredding! Hoe did you find the frets?
@steiuk lol 😂 My fret ends were ok, but the best but not finger shredding! The guitar has jumbo frets, I’ve got a couple of guitar a with jumbo frets and really don’t like them either. Much prefer you regular nickel medium sized frets . Thanks for tuning in 👍🏻
Get what suits your fancy, if white is what youde like...get them. I can relate, I've got 2 white LP's, one white fender Tele, and a white Ltd strat. Your Lemon drop looks really really good! ...and those are really nice headstocks on the LTD's! 🤘
Nice. Strictly speaking, to be a Lemon Drop - which is the Vintage model name for their 2006 V100MRPGM - itself a clone of Peter Green's '59 Les Paul Standard, it should really have an out of phase wired, reverse-fitted neck pick up. This was done on the Vintage V100 Lemon Drop, designed by Trevor Wilkinson, specifically in an attempt to make it sound like the '59 Les Paul which Peter Green's guitar had when it was on the middle position for the pickup selector. It'd be fairly easy to mod yours to be like that of course and it'd be a lot less than the two million Dollars that guitar was once on sale for, which is amusing considering Peter Green paid sixty quid for it when he originally got it. To genuinely get that tone, which was initially a mistake made by Peter Green when he put the pick up back in the wrong way around after having completely removed it for a while, it would probably also have to have the alnico magnet flipped the wrong way around too, which was a manufacturing mistake on the Gibson PAF it had installed when it was originally made. Funnily enough though, as much as people revere that sound, Peter Green himself never thought there was anything particularly special about the guitar's sound and he said he didn't even know what people were on about when they said it was 'out of phase', so the chances are the sound was probably more about his playing, his amp and any effects he had, rather than some magical quality to that particular guitar. Anyway, regardless of all that, that is a very nice looking guitar, particularly at that price.
My favourite guitar finish is Lemon Drop, yet still not fell on the right one to purchase, this one is a very pretty wee thing and a great deal at that price.
I have this in white it’s really nice paid 399$ US I have a ESP/LTD TEL200 and ESP VIPER I like these very much I play my Epiphone with cream backs mostly
Ooh you've got a Catalyst! What do you reckon to it? The entire LTD range are null and void for me because I don't think they do a single model that doesn't have a gloss neck.
Alex the Catalyst is brilliant! The clarity is superb and it can go effing loud too! Built in noise gate, fx loop and shed load of stuff I’ve not even touched. Way better sounding than a 50 watt katana and the knobs are nicer too! Yeah, the gloss is not good!
@@thenovicenoisemaker I was really surprised with how good it is. But the Line 6 Renaissance since they first did the Helix is truly incredible. And they're still updating it now and it just keeps getting better and better! I've just replaced all my pedals with the HX Effects and it's absolutely incredible.
So many guitars pass through your hands!! 😱 How many do you actually keep? Also, the best part of your videos is that they make me feel less crazy for owning a few guitars 😅
He was a narcissistic , opinionated twat...You shouldn't have deleted him I was ready to go to town on him on his last reply...His "Honest opinion "...Telling people how to live and what not to spend their money on...Knobhead of the highest degree...
Like a single cut, me! Only got the Benton EMG monster for £325 MONTHS back now! Played it every day since it came to the door. Strings are dull as fuck now, so just got my consignment of strings through the door and, it's up-up-and-away!!! Bought a Korean Sheraton which needs a fettle-up so, that's still in the bag till I get it seen to, but, can't beat your PROLIFIC guitar acquisition rate, mate! Jealous 🤣🤣
V100 is a good guitar, I’ve had several of those, especially good value second hand. The pickups in this guitar sound clearer in my opinion but there’s not a great deal in it
