Guitar World tech editor Paul Riario checks out the ESP LTD Arrow-1000, a neck-thru-body design with mahogany body with iridescent Violet Andromeda finish. www.espguitars.com/products/2...
Hey Paul, good to see youve improved much on demoing guitars towards metal styles, very satisfied with this review hope everything is good and keep rocking on \m/
Yeah seriously. I know part of it is I haven’t seen Paul do a review since guitar world quit putting the discs with the magazines but he doesn’t look healthy. He was always skinny but his eyes look sunken in and even skinnier than he was back then.
TheMetalheadextreme I mean go back and watch some of his reviews from a few years ago and you’ll see what I mean. He’s lost a ton of weight and just doesn’t look good.
@GuitarWorld Glad @ESPGuitars brought this out for the modern players. 81TWX+89XR would be a quick upgrade, to add some versatility (*white would look great with the Violet Andromeda finish). I hope they release an EII, with the reverse headstock, in this finish. If I wasn't building a custom guitar, I'd be all over this...
I'm just glad they didn't inlay the model number at the 12th fret. There are so many ESP guitars I see that I would like to have, and then I see that stupid model number on the fingerboard and it completely ruins it.
Randy Rhoads was a LEGEND. MAN IF HE WERE STILL ALIVE. WHAT HE WOULD OF SHOWED THE WORLD. HE HAD ONLY 2 YEARS TO DO IT WITH OZZY. RIP RANDY RHOADS. THE MAN WHO INFLUENCED ME TO PLAY THE GUITAR. HIS STUFF IS A MUSICAL BLAST TO PLAY
Sounds great but man does it look like it's a lulu to hold and balance, kinda frustrating that they discontinued the standard Vs completely in favor of this
Ok..I've learnt it Open E string, then 3rd fret on the e string then 2nd fret on the A string then back to the 3rd fret on the E string . Repeat.. then just go down one fret..Repeat. There, go for it!
Everything's great but that knob is in the wrong spot. I have an FRX E-II and I can't stand how they put it so close to your picking fingers. I'm always knocking the volume down as I play. That knob is in the way and makes me not play my ESP as much as my Schecter Gary Holt Blood Splattered model, as that one has the volume knob in the right spot. It also sucks to have to move it yourself or order a custom knob move.
